today? He was interviewing somebody from Rivals I believe (maybe John Brice). Any way whoever it was they were talking about CLK getting some guy from NC who is another incredible addition to the staff.

He was also talking about how BAMA and other schools are green with envy over our hires.

Man, I wish I could have heard the whole thing.

If I'm not mistaken, that's Paul Gonella. He'll be Director of Player Personnel.

I heard bits and pieces of that. That guy seemed to know his stuff especially compared to our beloved Jimmy Hyams and the like.

He said he thought Brown from Memphis was going elsehwere mainly because of his and his grandma's relationship with Drayton.

He said he thought the Williams kid from the Memphis area was coming to UT (2010?).

He said a 4* RB (can't remember his name) was giving UT a serious look, but wasn't interested at all when Fulmer was here. Thinks we have a good shot at him. He mention Bama as a lead school until this point.

I am listening to the archived show right now.

Eddie Lacey was the 4* rb I was talking about.

Trent Richardson will visit - Bama commit

??? Patrick may give final visit to UT instead of Miami - Bama commit - Saban asked him not to visit UT

Says bama fans (and the rest of SEC) are freaking out on the hires we are making including stealing Thompson from them.

Staff may be visiting Marcelus Teague today to try to steal from Gators.

Says Greg King (LB) has UT as leader.

Thinks UT has ground to make up on Marlon Brown. Tough hill to climb to get him. Thinks Ole Miss may be the leader for him.


Greg Reed (FLA commit) not interested in GA, thinks UT has a shot.

9-10 official visits this weekend

Edwards told him UT is the leader last week and will be here this weekend. Hopes to announce before signing day. Minn. and Cinci are in the running as well.

Vols are in top 2-3 for Freeman

Jeffries raved about the whole process that Kiffin and co had. Very impressed

Vols still have a chance at Hearst from Tx

Peter White will probably not choose UT because of distance (Maryland is front runner)

That is pretty much it

The guy also didn't want to comment too much on why J. Crompton was a 5 star coming out of high school...lol

I don't know how big "names" Kiffin is gonna get, but the fact that they are in the hunt for a lot of players, especially committed ones, really has me excited

What station is Tony B on? I haven't listened to him in years, but I thought his show was almost always entertainingand somewhat insightful. Compared to the sports animal, well I'd consider them roadkill, personally

The most shocking thing that Rivals guy said was that the new staff may consider Knox Catholic's Daniel Hood.
