"I've left messages with Hubbs and his family, but haven't heard back--which isn't unusual in this case in the least. However, have heard from several places that the visit went very well. I don't have any indications that he left town as a commitment, but think that there's a chance--a chance I say, nothing for certain--that Tennessee could get some good news on that front in the near future. Obviously, that would be enormous. The big question is has Hubbs seen enough, and does he feel comfortable enough to decide he doesn't want to take anymore visits? There seems to be some hope that he could reach a quick decision in the Vols' favor. We will do our best to stay on top of things."
On John Williams III, "I did speak with his father this afternoon--who is very involved in his recruitment--and they had a great visit. They still intend to visit Michigan State on Sept. 28, and expect to make a decision fairly quickly after that. Williams' father talked at length about the family atmosphere around the program, which he stressed as something they were looking for in a school. He indicated that they were still considering all four of the programs getting visits (Georgetown, Missouri MSU and UT), but my opinion is that Tennessee did enough to put themselves into finalists' position here unless they're blown away at Michigan State."
