I only ask because I don’t own any Vol stuff in White and will need to purchase one if my seat is in a white section.
I don’t own any gray or Lady Vol Blue either.
But, I have tons of Orange in all sizes (from regular size human to el grande humanosaurus) ....depending on the status of my yo-yo dieting lifestyle.
I’m more than fine with eliminating the alternate Gray game.
But, I do hope we keep checkered Neyland once a season.

My preference is to roll it out for big games with a national audience. The home game vs Oklahoma was perfect. (except for the final score)

I know a year or two has passed since "Pat" but, vfl2407 mentioning lady Vol blue makes me think an orange and blue checker board game would be a cool tribute

In a pinch, you could always do as I have and wear a white shirt that doesn't have a power T or Nike swoosh. The team won't be able to tell the difference, it will still look perfect, and you'll save $70.

Like you, I usually get my Tennessee gear in orange, so it's recognizable.

Additionally, I really hope we checker Neyland again. FL would be the perfect game, IMO, as we have a decent chance to pull off the victory.

Or you could go to the VolShop and choose from several options of off brand white Vol t-shirts for $15 each. The Kaepernike versions are about $27.

Would love to see it for the Florida game.

Well, I'm not a fan of doing this for the UF game, but I'll join in and do my part whenever, or if ever, there's a call to do it. It always looks glorious, and it always makes a great visual for TV.

Some on here have referred to it as gimmicky, but UT has been known for the orange and white checkerboard pattern for almost 50 years. Remember, this was a FAN-driven activity that finally happened in Neyland during the CBJ era. Don't rewrite its history by solely associating it with Jones. It's also been done for basketball.

When the world feared Neyland there was no Smoky grey, checkered stadiums, or orange and white cleats.

Or smartphones, or hybrids, or fish that fed on Osama Bin Ladens cowardly tail. I wouldn't trade those things though.

I enjoy checkering Neyland and in fairness, it was not Butchs idea, it was a student or professor iirc.

I’d rather wait until we regularly win more SEC games than we lose. Less of a gimmick if you are winning, IMO.
