Any possibility of Ament returning for 2nd year?

I would love to see Nate play another season of actual basketball before he moves on to play NBA.

To be honest, I think he eventually winds up playing overseas, if only for reasons of conscience. I know Nate would use for good the large platform that NBA player status would offer him, but sometimes the platform itself speaks louder than the voice of the good man speaking from it.

The NBA product is ugly, on and off the court. Its product is anti-basketball, and its backroom compromises are anti-human.
The league could experience a revival of fan interest if the players' union went on strike for 1) a return to playing by the rulebook and 2) taking a no-compromise stand on regimes who employ slavery and organ harvesting.

The next challenge for Nate Ament after he adds muscle to his frame will be adding muscle to his beliefs. That's not a criticism at all. It's just the natural pattern of growth into real manhood.
If I could have said it so well, that’s what I would have said.

I was honestly surprised by how many people believe that the NBA is real sport.. I don’t go around telling kids that Santa’s naughty list doesn’t actually exist, but I didn’t think remaining NBA fans were on that level either. I thought maybe they like watching their favorite college stars play HORSE for a living.

The only way Nate Ament is going to make it in the NBA is if he starts telling young fans to “support Israel” or “support LBGTQ”.. They only use professional sports to brainwash adolescent boys and Ament isn’t going to get far in that cesspool by repeating Barnes’s pebble story, unless he’s already a major star before he gets to the NBA. They’ll bury him in on the bench just like they have done to Knecht.
Bruh what?

FWIW my guy who laughed me off the phone for 3 weeks about Ament shot me a text last night and said a return was on the table 🤷🏻‍♂️
It’s 100% on the table, just depends on draft grade…right now I’m not seeing many mocks where I think it becomes much of a discussion, but if he starts sliding the door opens.

He’s likely a Top 5 pick in the Draft Boards next year.

It’s just a really loaded draft class that he’d be stepping into.

I honestly think with a great season he could be in contention for a number one pick next year. It’s an incredibly weak class, at least a year out

That said, getting to stop going to class, and getting the clock started towards a lifetime NBA pension, is tough to give up

Ament #8 to the Mavericks.

“If Nate had his choice” meaning he’s probably getting promises from some in the lottery they’ll take him if he’s there and that he needs to go. Sad. Wish we could be a team for once that could get a Mullins or Haugh to return for another year.

Listen, no one despises James more than me, but by playing right into an obvious troll's hands by continuing to feed him by responding, you guys have succeeded in allowing him to hijack a thread having zero to do with Lebron James or Dalton Knecht.

As soon as he said Knecht was better than James, it should have been game over and move on.
Had that clown on Ignore for a long time. If he said that DK is a better player than LeBron James, that more than justified using that button. Can’t imagine anybody is that delusional whether you like LeBron or not. Has to be a troll.

It’s staged entertainment. I don’t think it matters who looks better than who in the NBA. The wishy washy rules and political pandering of the league is proof enough to me that it’s not trustworthy enough to really concern over which players are best. They’ll blackball a guy in an instant if he speaks up for Christianity. That has been proven very recently.

They did not fire him for his comments regarding Christianity. They fired him for his comments regarding LGBTQ. Ivey was also released because he was making people uncomfortable with the questions he was asking.

Coming back to a stacked team where he'll have more room to display his playmaking skills and improve defensively on top of the scoring, rebounding, shot blocking, and getting to the FT line he showed last year would have pro scouts salivating, and adding 10-15 lbs. of muscle will silence the doubts about him physically.

Can he do all that in an NBA organization? Yes, but being able to improve your draft stock while enjoying one more year of college life should appeal to him and his parents. The dog-eat-dog money is all that matters world of pro ball is still going to be there, and Nate will be a year stronger and mentally more ready to deal with it.

Or, he's a year closer to that holy grail of a second contract, gets 24-7-365 training and development, and will be getting experience dealing with the pro game and lifestyle. We'll see what is most important for them, and if he is indeed going to be a top 10 pick, he really does probably need to go.

I think he's just caught in the FN Cinematic Universe. But some therapy seems like a good idea.

I'd said earlier in the thread that I thought he'd go somewhere between #8 and #18. They're saying #18 here. If he's consistently hearing 14 or lower, he should return.

The problem is that NBA teams want him in the draft. So, they'll tell his people what they want to hear. Without a promise, he's vulnerable to a draft night drop, though.

O'Connor has people going ahead of Ament that I have never seen before. I'd be surprised if Dailyn Swain and Karm Lopez go before him.

The major draft outlets have Nate at 8, 8, 9, 10, 10. One has him at 15, but quotes a scout who says there's essentially no way he isn't a lottery pick due to being a 6'10 guy with guard skills. The O'Connor article that has him at 18 is mocked from the lens of "this is what happens if the lottery brings us chaos".

If his representatives think he can be 1 or 2 next year he definitely could and should consider returning
