Any of your significant others root for someone else other than the Vols?

Well...........................my wife is one of the biggest Ohio State fans in the world.

Naturally our boy will be wearing scarlet and gray during the Ohio State game and Tennessee Orange during the UT Cal game........

Poor kid, before long we might be moving to Kentucky...........LOL!

My girlfriend is a Kentucky grad and grew up a Kentucky fan. I am slowly but surely converting her.

My wife is a Virginia Tech alumn and a true hokie pokie fan. She can tell you whats on Frank Beamers mind by his facial expressions. I forget the year, but I took her to the Music City bowl to watch Vick and co dismantle Bama....last 10 minutes of the game, Bama down 35-7...they were streaming out the exits to the chant from the entire VT side...''hey Bama...where ya goin?''

I don't go around them on game days. Since we gave up our season tickets last year after bball practice I'd go home and watch the game by myself, and would tell the gf that i would still b n practice. but now that i've graduated college, she knows i do nothin on game day. she tried to get me to go to ttown this wkend, but i told her UT was playing, and that my christmas season has started, and will not be attending ttown. now i'm in the dog house with her :bad:

No significant others for me... But I will count family

Sister = Purdue then Harvard
Dad = Texas
Mom = Ohio State
Uncle = Cincinnati
Aunt = Indiana

So I was raised on Purdue, Texas, Ohio State and Oregon State football (since I moved to Oregon).

My dad and most of my family are HUGE Purdue fans. I myself also follow them pretty closely but my blood is orange. My gf is a former Indiana State cheerleader and still follows the Trees. Most of my friends are Notre Dame fans.

Same here. Or at least let Notre Dame prove they can play defense before everybody starts picking them to win the national title. Oh wait... :crazy:

That is one of my biggest fears living in bammerala, my daughter growing up and getting a scholarship to UA... But then I remember Murphy's Law, and the fact the UT would be out of state tuition, so I feel pretty sure that she will choose UT

I met my g/f while I was on co-op in B'ham. Her entire family are 'barners, but she's already true Orange! :rock:

My wife generally doesn't like sports, but last year I caught her tuned into the UT/LSU game as we tied it up in the 4th quarter. I lept up and ran into the living room to let her know what had just happened (I didn't figure she would care, but I like to give her updates anyway), when I saw her flipping the channel away from the game.

I said, "Hey, what are you doing??"

She responded by looking at our pug, Snuggles, "Snuggledog, we got busted."

I guess the excitement I was displaying during our comeback made her want to watch. :)

My husband knows better!!!!!!:) But, we are from Louisiana so of course we are the only UT fans in the family. The rest are diehard LSU fans. We also have 2 family members (by marriage only) that are Bammers. :crazy:

Mrs. UncleSam cheers for "the team with the prettiest uniform."

Dad was UT all the way.(1961 grad.) Miss ya Dad.

Mother graduated Kentucky in 52 during the Rupp/Bryant era. She was a cheerleader and has many a good story to tell about UK back then. She got her masters degree from UT in 198something. She loves the Vols & Mildcats.

I think part of the problem is my wife is from Missouri. Not just Missouri, but Southeast Missouri. College football might be big in Columbia, but it certainly isn't in Jonesboro (assuming Mizzou and ASU are the closest D1 colleges)...but it's nothing compared to the Orange Nation.
