Any of you realize that we just came off the toughest stretch of games in CFB this year

Finished it off w possibly the best Bama team in history AND the team we played came off a bye week??

We simply ran out of gas in the second half.... that simple

And you anti-JG people should be ashamed... he is playing as well as anyone possibly can w what he has to work w on the OL and is quite possibly the toughest QB I have ever seen

But man did this stretch highly our need to recruit badly. It just amazes me how much money UT has invested in recruiting and yet we still have major deficits. We can hope only our O-line & D-line take the weight room seriously this offseason.

Not accurate in my opinion. 6 games or more last year and 8 games this year. I give JG benefit of the doubt because a new offense came in with Helton. He had a built -in advantage by being on campus in the spring over Chryst. I never joined in the QB debate earlier this August thinking the coaches would make the right choice. I went as far as to commend JG on his Auburn performance thinking,(wrongly), that he was developing the back shoulder pass. It was Chryst's performance in the Bama game that made me feel that he deserved to play more. He was blitzed just as often as JG was in that game and completed 2 of 3 passes under pressure. I strongly feel that KC sees the field better and makes faster reads than JG.
Just remember that J.Hurts started the entire season for Bama in 2017 and in 2nd half of the title game Saban played a hunch that Tua might give the tide the lift they needed to get a passing game going or else UGA would key on Bama's running game to the extent of stopping it and winning the game. Saban could always pull Tua back out if he didn't do well. Pruitt has those same options now. What's it gonna hurt to give Chryst a deserving shot? He's a 5th year senior and looks more composed and rythmic in the game in my view. I'm not ashamed of wanting UT to win a football game either. If Shrout displays the ability to see the field better, I'd expect him to start ahead of JG next year as a redshirt freshman. 14 games now and the OLine still getting all the blame.

I felt going into this 4 game streach that we had no chance for any victory’s, but I was hoping for improvement. Well we went 1-3 and should have won 2. I just hope we can use this week to refuel because I am concerned we are getting worn down. Still have a lot of improvement to go and stop stupid penalties but at least every bad thing that happens to use is not killing us and we have taken advantage of other teams mishaps.

Butch pulled off that very feat in 2016 and lost the East because of it.

Just saying....seen it before.

80%? You realize the final score is all that matters, right? 😁 I get what you're saying

Lol...after 10 years of mediocrity, I dont think you are going to sell stretch of tough games in the SEC excuse.

Also not going to sell a savior in a coach in one season either.
Most predicted 2-5 first 7 games.
Well we are 3-5 the first 8.
So we are about where we were expected with 4 to go... who knows. Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt with Charlotte in the bag...

Tennessee practically have the same schedule every year..

What's the point, Auburn changed and Kentucky playing well above their average, Alabama best balanced team ever, GA is a bigger beast, FL better than last year, West Virginia was not a slouch, USC is always good.

If we can not compete on the LOS with any team then it is not going to be fixed anytime soon.

The Alabama game was done in the first quarter not like we exerted a ton of energy the rest of the game. No excuse to lose that game after going up 21-9.
