Wondering if there was any new news on him possibly making it to the Fl game?

On the pregame radio show they said he started practicing last Thurs and he dressed out with the team Saturday. I think he should be good to go by this Saturday.

He should be ready to go... the injury report is released on Thursday, we'll know for sure then.

He'll travel and dress. That is a promise. How much he plays depends on if his knee swells up more this week

I guess the real question would be, can he play against the spread option. I remember a coach talking about him during summer practice and saying that he's really fast, but he doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

He is another of the missing links for a successful season, so many ballers on the sideline that will be used to make us better.....example: mcKenzie????

McKenzie is horrible with his assignments and alignments right now. Trust me, you do not want to see him playing any extended amount of time at safety right now.

we still got Gerald Jones, Brent Vinson, Kenny O'neal, Chris Donald, Deangelo Willingham and Chris Walker on that sideline... why are they not getting in the game?

Gerald Jones is still getting over an injury and missed a lot of much needed practice time for a true freshman. Vinson lines up in the wrong place and runs the wrong routes too much. BTW, those are very bad things for an offense. O'Neal lines up wrong and runs poor routes too. He also has problems catching the ball too. Again, that is bad for the offense. Chris Donald is not mentally ready to contribute at LB. You think Rico misses assignments, if Donald was out there at this point in his development it would be much worse. Willingham is getting some PT and is getting close to being productive. Chris Walker is playing a brand new position and had a lot to learn in a short period of time. He is getting close to getting some PT. Our DE's did not play poorly in the So Miss game though.

im not sure if my observation is correct or not but i have caught a few shots of Chris Donald when they put the camera on the Vols sideline and it just seems that his head is no where in the game.. i know he isnt in the game but it just seems as though he doesnt even expect to play and that he really isnt concerned on whats going on out there on the field. i just see him over there on the sideline and it looks like he is joking around with someone and not rally paying attention to the game, so i figured that he doesnt have the right focus on contributing whether it is practice or paying attention on the sideline... so is that what u mean by he is not mentally ready to contribute?

The DL may have looked ok against Southern Miss, but that's not the defending National Champ.
CSU played Cal to within a TD. CNNSI rated them 88 in the country. UT's defense is bad, especially the line.

Willingham played a lot in the 2nd half of the USM game.

its hard for me to realize who is in the game watching it on tv, so unless they call their name out on a tackle or they dont show a close up of the guys i really dont know who is in the game... were u at the game?

Well, it deals more with mentally understanding where he should be scheme wise.

Cols state scored all but 14 points on Cal's second team. The score is misleading. Our defense is not great, but it is getting better. Florida will get some yards running but they are no running juggernaut by any means. Close game decided by turnovers and ST as usual.
