My wife and I are looking into moving our family from Texas to Tennessee. I am looking for tips on good companies to apply with I am senior crew cheif now in Texas 20+ years experience and a third generation surveyor.

To be honest I don’t know much about east TN surveyors but here in Mid TN they are like the mafia, they fence out newcomers.

I have a guy who works for me that was a 21S in the Army, a surveyor. I hired him thinking he could quickly get his license and I was wrong. He‘s had to pretty much start from scratch.

Best of luck to you. At least in Mid TN we are in real need of surveyors that don’t take a year or more to get something done.

Much needed because of all the dang people moving here from everywhere else. Decent pay and the cost of living was pretty low before biden took office.

Most of my family lives in East Tennessee many generations of my family buried on the same hill in maryville. I have wanted to live here since I was a child. It only took 40 years but I finally feel I’m home
