Simply thinking about playing center back for them right now seems to be enough to cause an injury. They just said with Henderson’s injury today, they’re now on their 17th different CB pairing for this season.

City might be able to come up with the money, but after running afoul of FFP rules last year, I don’t know how advisable this would be. Aren’t Barcelona rumored to be having some financial difficulties? Same for FSG who are doubly feeling the sting of lost revenue from fans with both Liverpool and the Red Sox, and face the legitimate possibility of missing out on the CL money next season. I’ll be a little surprised if they find a buyer at that price right now.
