Outlook is at least promising. Quite a few names out there. The two who are considered to be the #1 and #2 (Austin and Barksdale) have both been in contact with UT and both mention UT as among the possibilities. We also have a number of DT recruits who are below those two. We have a 3-star from Maryland who says UT is his leader. We have a DT from Hawaii that says his two leaders are UT and Utah.

Side note, I don't UT has a big need at DT because our talent at the position is young. We are struggling a little at DT this season because we are very inexperienced at the position. Its not because we are not talented at the position. Mapu has another year, Bolden and Williams will both be big time DT's before their careers are over.

Wouldn't you think a top DL recruit would want to come somewhere where it looks like they could help/get some playing time immediately?

On the other side, I guess they could also view that as poor coaching too... hopefully it's the former.
