to watch a UT game is a great day

In 2010, I attended the Ole Miss/UT game in Knoxville. Also in attendace, was a co-worker and good friend of mine. I actually trained him when he was first hired. He was a huge UT fan. That would be the last UT game he would ever attend. He died a few years ago after a long fight with cancer. He was in his 30's

I know he would give anything to be able to go to another game and so I take every chance I get to watch the Vols as a gift

We lose perspective sometimes when things are not good. But the truth is everyday is good when you're a Vol

This place has gotten serious today. But, we need some perspective and levity. People getting into fights over football, stabbings and shootings after baseball games - we need to adjust our priorities.

Excellent post.

I'm still sick over the UF game: we should have beat them but let them off the hook.

The most important thing to remember is that the University of Tennessee Football Volunteers are the most outward expression of our great state and its history. So that every time the Vols run through the "T" we are celebrating our incredibly proud past and our inevitable bright future.

Go big orange!

My earliest memories of my Dad are listening to games in the stock room of his friends grocery store on an old radio with rabbit ears that you could never quite hear clearly.

Go Big Orange!!!

A seat at Neyland, a TV, a computer, a phone, or even a radio and following a VOLS game? Pretty good day.

Great post Count! The last game I ever got to watch with my dad was the National Championship game. We watched it in his hospital room, and he passed six weeks later. Sharing the gameday experience with him, good or bad, is the thing I miss the most.

I know you wouldn't trade that for anything in this world.

Agree, good post. And these football Saturdays will be even better when we start winning these big games again.
