Crompton will be a senior, i just dont see the benefit for him, unless he goes 2A which actually wouldnt be a bad move for him

I remember people saying crompton would never take another meaningful snap. Well, phil's boy will probably start against vandy.

This should be our depth chart next year.
1) Boyd
2) Stephens
3) Petty/Coleman

Crompton just needs to quit football and get a degree.

Crompton is to stubborn.. He still thinks its not his fault.. He won't transfer.. But he won't play again..

Why isnt BJ Coleman given a chance to prove himself?I mean everyone earlier in the season was saying he has great leadership skills and his teammates got along with him really well.I just dont understand it.

That's what I don't understand either. At this point you have nothing to lose, and you've already tried two QBs who are simply ineffective.

Exactly what I am thinking. He needed a chance this season. Can't be worse. It's not been fair IMO.

I know and what really pissed me off,is that Fulmer said Crapton created a spark for the offense today.

Come on, now. He's not paid enough dues; needs to ride the pine at least another season to learn the "Tennessee Way"

Fulmer doesn't have a clue when it comes to evaluating QB's or any other players for that matter. Like Johnny Majors back in the day...Football has passed him by.

At this stage, I don't know why they don't just give the ball to BJ and let him try a couple of games. There really is nothing to lose except a couple more games and I've seen nothing that would make me believe we could win those with either Stephens or Crompton.

Give BJ some time and the new coach some film.

If we got Kiffen in tomorrow, for example, I wonder if he could get the #1 QB who's planning to start at USC in January to drop his books in Knoxville. It's not like we don't have an opening.

If he rides the pine to long he'll be leavin and startin for some other school, and Im sure He knows a hell of a lot more about the tradition of Tennessee than Stephens or Crapton. He's from Tennessee for crying out loud.

Given the performance of our O line, maybe B.J. Coleman DOESN'T WANT THE BALL?!

1 more thing,I guarantee you if we had Jon Gruden right now,he would've had Coleman in that game today and I know that for Damn sure. When it comes to QB'S Gruden will sit your ass down if your not playin up to expectations.

We have nothing to lose this season. Might as well start BJ. Oh well, Boyd will prolly start next year.

I did not get to the game today, nor was I able to listen to it but if they had little enough s----to put that crapton in the game when we all know all he does is make mistakes then they should have lost. I say let BJ in the game. I bet Cut is laughing all day since he recruited him. He is a smart kid and would probably do very well if he were given a chance...He knows about the Tennessee tradition probably since birth.

BJ is most likely gone at the end of the year. He won't even deny that he is thinking about it to the Chatt press.
