Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

Yes, but she was I'm sure going to divorce him over the pornstar thing. Publicly humiliating her like that.

So the payment is not for the breakup of the marriage. It's for staying with him through the tenure of his administration to save him the embarrassment of her leaving. That would have been a disaster for him. He is paying her to stay.
No one cares except those that put symbolism above substance. Besides, it's what you HOPE will happen. We won't know until it does. Of course Hills stayed with Bill because she loved him all those years, right?

My pawpaw landed on one of the beaches. He never uttered a word about anything he experienced in the war.

Mine went into North Africa , ended up in the Ardennes Forrest . I was able to get two things out of him my entire life ... when I asked what the country was like over there he said “ France was a pretty country “ , when I asked about his Purple Hearts I got ...” well son I guess I should have zigged when I zagged “ . That’s the extent of him allowing me to know what happened until he passed and I got his paperwork from the army . He never mentioned Africa or the battle of the bulge . I pushed too hard once trying to get info from him and he gave me his version of people talking about it and a huge clue for me to shut my mouth . He told me “ the people that likes to talk about what happened over there to them , in his experience , was In the rear with the gear. “ . That ended my Q&A lol

It is sinful from a christian perspective, but so is premarital sex, pornography, adultery. I see many upset with homosexual sexual activity but seem to turn a blind eye to the rampant heterosexual sexual activity.
Yep. Distrust the homosexual because of their sexual decisions, but trust the president that has affairs with porn stars while their wife is preggo? No biggie.

My oldest brother saw combat in Vietnam. My father in France. So they had a common ground where they would on occasion talk but not in detail. I would listen when that occurred as it was made clear my input really wasn’t desired. It would normally get prompted by some event in the paper or on TV and then a short discussion would occur.

A close friend's dad was in the first wave. He only started talking about it in his late 60s. After retiring, he located all the survivors from his unit and together they wrote their history. Those are important memories to preserve.

That is very cool. Have you read their accounts?

I agree, very important to remember and preserve our nations history. Kind of like the founding fathers, take the recent incident of mentally weak liberals in san fran being "traumatized" by a mural of george washington and now all the libs want it removed. Since you understand the importance of preserving our history, surely you can stand against your sides assault on this nations history.

It was of course, his prerogative to not want to talk about it. I can only imagine the horror he lived thru. But it is a shame that he didn't share it with you. God bless him and all the others like him.
