She is a better three point shooter but not a better player. Hard to find any player better than those three. Holdsclaw and Catchings won three National Championships and Parker won two so she is not better than any of those players or several players that have played for UConn and many other players down through the years.

Yes yes and yes. Sorry but she’s that good. Hate her all you want, she’s a stud and probably the best basketball player I’ve seen since Larry Bird.

Is she more athletic than those ladies? No. Can she jumps as high, run as fast or defend as well. No.

Can she flat out ball? YES

And this is coming from someone who is a Lady Vol fan 100% because of Candace Parker and Pat Summitt. Candace will forever be my favorite player but you cannot deny the way Clark plays the game.

Clark is a guard, so it's hard to compare her to forwards, and it's silly to compare players from different eras.
That said, I'd say she's definitely better than Holdsclaw, who's strength was getting
offensive rebounds and putting them back in the basket--but not Parker and Catchings. Clark has to score
a lot for Iowa whereas that wasn't necessarily the case for Parker and Catchings.

Parker and Catchings are Hall-of-Famers.

The other one had three consecutive national championships which isn't exactly cold slaw.

Clark is an outstanding player. But, we will need to see how she holds up against Father Time.

Is Steph Curry better than LeBron or MJ or Kobe?

Like the question about Caitlin Clark, it is a pointless comparison They are different players and as all round players Steph probably in not as good as those comparison points.

But, everybody is now playing under Steph's 3-pt game and court geometry. Before Steph, anyone pulling up for 30 ft jumper early in the shot clock would get drummed out of the league. Then Steph came in and he was "special" but now everybody plays that way with a new generation of players who have even more range.

Caitlin Clark is the harbinger a new approach to the game where the 3 rules because the analytics favor it, particular as more players become proficient. And CC is going to inspire a generation of players in a way that Candace can't because not that many girls will grow up to be 6'4 with the speed and agility of an elite soccer player.

Sorry, Prophet, SC was a sitting duck for a team that could spread them out the way Iowa did and in the coming years, there will be more and more Iowas.

But even with all the newcomers, Curry is still special. 30 PPG, 50% from the floor, 43% from three (this season). There are lots of imititators but Curry is the standard. (for better or for worse)

Yup. Well stated.

Belmont ball - long live the new Queen!

With that said, I still think Iowa is overly dependent on her. Like Larry Bird, and Indiana State, in the NCAA finals of 1979ish. Think LSU beats them. A great coach, with super talent, can slow her down enough to win.

Madtown , come on now. Really my view are against those that are saying she's the greatest player blab blab and more when she's not.
I don't give a cock asset about SC no more than they're SEC as is LSU. When you say she's the greatest than position, style of play , era and any comparison point go out the window.
And she hasn't gotten pass Mulkey ( best dressed coach of all time) yet.
LSU 2 win
PS. NO.... Curry is not better than those mention.

she is this year's Seth Curry
One good coach will figure out how to stop her and then every other coach will use that strategy

Well, when you have the first 40 pt triple double ever in the women's tournament and follow-up that up with another 40pt 8 assist and 6? rebound game against one of the best defenses in the country (and lead an underdog team to the Final Four), people are gonna talk. All the greatest talk is a hypothetical for which there is no definitive answer, so why get so worked up? It is like if I starting flaming you for not mentioning Sheryl Swoopes who "everyone" knows is the greatest of all time. When CC is done, her name will be in the conversation for best of all time, like CP3, like Holdsclaw, Parker, and Catchings, like Taurasi and Stewart and so. It is an elite list. Give the gal her due, she seems very grounded and likable.

All the pundits said, CC would not be able to dominant against SC and she did on a night where her outside shot was actually off. She has a better game in her. And people are sleeping on the caliber of her teammates. I will bet your house on Iowa. Better hope I am right.
