Alright guys and gals, we have a another tough opponent coming up, Bye Week. Coming into the season I thought this was a certain win, but now I’m not so sure. I feel it’s a toss up at this point. The question is, can we put the last 10 quarters behind us and start to play winning football or do we continue to allow the snowball to engulf everything in its path, destroying the town at the bottom of the hill?

Good news. JG actually scores 3 TD's this week over Bye, beating his 2 touchdown average. The bad news is he threw 2 pick 6's and fumbled his Gatorade on the sidelines for a crushing 27-24 defeat.

Yes, we win the bye week, even Butch won on the bye week. The problem is what happens after the bye week. Looking at the remaining schedule there is a real possibility this team goes 1-4. This could possibly be the worst team in TN history, but never fear Pruitt says we are closer in talent to Bama than we have been in years.

I'm afraid Pittman has turned Arky around so much they beat us twice!

In all seriousness, I think the AR game is probably the biggest litmus test we've got this season. If Pittman is able to come in, put out that dumpster fire, and beat a vastly more talented UT roster despite all of the practice limits surrounding Corona, it should put to rest any of the 'We need to give CJP time to rebuild...' arguments.

I am not for the 'Fahr!!!' approach but a loss to a 1st year coach under these circumstances has to suggest Pruitt ain't the guy. The question then becomes timing and I pray but sincerely doubt Fulmer has a 'break in event of loss to Arky' emergency coach search plan just waiting to be deployed.

The reality is Pruitt will return next season, go 7-6 once we get the cupcake schedule fillers back, and Vol Nation can rest easy knowing they've got a diamond in the rough. Only problem is diamonds take a real long time to form so it might take a millenia or two before we beat Bama.

Vol faithful, prepare yourselves to see Bye return three or more pick 6s for the first time in history.

The worst part is, even tho it wasn't returned for 6, the second arrow attempt he had was yet again intercepted

I am really getting tired of watching every dad-blasted UT game in 5 minutes. I FF X4 every time the opponent has the ball and usually they score, so think of all the agony I avoid and time I save having taped the game. Yesterday, the ONLY reason I taped the game was to watch our new QB however, Chaney & Pruitt messed up that dream too - so in 5 minutes, the game was over and I went back to watching Hogan's Heroes - which was by far more stimulating than watching our poor players getting trounced by a superior coached team.
