Teacher accused of having sex with student in closet, charged for sexual acts with multiple teens
The judge granted her a $74,000.www.wsbtv.com
Yeah she don't get her position extends beyond her classroom or team roster. The only thing saving her is if the boy was already 18 when she began. She may skirt by pedo charges, but her position as a teacher will not free her from the rest. Though in today's courts with the right judge (which won't be hard) they might win that argument. But, any meaningful life for her is done. She just be a skank fast food worker from now on.![]()
Alabama Coach Who Had Sex With Student Wants Charges Dropped, Her Reason Has People Furious

Update on this story... this lady has lost it for sure.
Just playing the devil's advocate here, does she have a point? Also, the article is a bit odd. In one part it indicates the teacher was a man, while the balance of the article seems clear it was a female teacher/coach.![]()

It is an interesting argument, and the only reason she has that argument to make is because hte student was already 18.Just playing the devil's advocate here, does she have a point? Textile mills were notorious for fraternization, or at least the ones I knew anything about. It is an interesting argument, and the only reason she has that argument to make is because hte student was already 18.
However, to play devil's advocate to your devil's advocate, in the companies I've worked for if I had a relationship with an employee in a lesser position, especially in gen pop, it would have been deemed inappropriate. Well, except the one company. Everyone knew hte area mgr was popping one of hte sewing machine operators for years and turned a blind eye. Actually met my wife in same company, same building but I managed 3 satellite departments and she was on production floor. She also left for another job cause we knew we were gonna be together and didn't want to make that an issue. But I digress. Point being you don't have to be directly over someone for it to be inappropriate, in this case in her class or on her team, cause one wrong move and a pissed off underling and you gotta legal suit regardless.
Either way, will be curious to see how judge allows that argument. Because that will set a precedent and any previous teacher/student scandals accross the country where the student was of legal age will be back in court.
I dated the CFO of a company I worked on while I was just a lowly VP. But it probably helped she was one of the larger stockholders and a member of the family with essentially a controlling interest.Well, there's a difference between "having bad taste" and going to prison. She was indicted on 32 crimes. Dating somebody on your crew at work is really just slightly bad taste. Dating somebody that reports to you directly or indirectly is putting the company at risk, so they might stop you. That is just a self-interest issue for the company.
As far as her having a point, it depends on just how "not my student" he was. If he went to high school where she was part of the staff, then they won't drop the charges.
Not likely. But, they aren't arguing in court right now. they're arguing for the judge to throw it out. You are 100% correct, but if they have one of those flaky judges.....Well, there's a difference between "having bad taste" and going to prison. She was indicted on 32 crimes. If I'm seeing double nose rings...Guilty
The one I worked for 17 years was very notorious for fraternizing. There was a corral of women from floor employees to office ladies that got "invited" to those highr level manager retreats. I had never before, and wisely not since, fraternized except for the one that became my wife. And it was apparent from the second minute of saying "hi" to each other it was a done deal and not just messing around with an employee. So, she kept it above board and left the company for another job. Others....not so much.Textile mills were notorious for fraternization, or at least the ones I knew anything about.
