just got an email from work that one of my co-workers sons was involved in a football accident this morning. he plays qb at william blount, and is in cleveland, tn right now(i'm guessing for a scrimmage). the way the email reads is that he possibly has some broken ribs and a punctured lung. i just know that his dad(my co-worker) is a really cool guy and talks about him everyday at work like he's a superstar. my kid is still young but i know how proud i am of every single thing she does, and every new thing she learns. please keep their family in your alls prayers...sorry for the info but thats all i was given.

follow up:

found out that he doesnt have any broken ribs but does have a collapsed lung. he should be in the hospital for a couple of days, so yeah. y'all have a good one.

Has it been long enough and his condition stable enough for me to suggest he rub some dirt on it without appearing totally evil?

hahahaha, definitely. he's doing a lot better from what i've heard, you can remove this post. sounded a lot worse at first then what it ended up being.

I'm glad to hear he is doing OK. That sounded like a pretty scary situation.
