Andre Ware was on College Football Live today. Tennessee made his bounce back teams list at the number 2 spot. He mentioned the WR corps and our offense. He expects an 8 or 9 win season for the Vols this year.

To put this in perspective, UF made the list at number 3.

Neither of us should be bouncing back from anything. Sad few years, but happy they could be over.

Gonna be a good year despite what the fire Dooley crowd wants to happen this year.. and I would truly be disappointed at 8 or 9 wins depending on how bad the losses were and to who they were..

I see 10 wins barring injuries.. jmo

He's the only one at espn that i will not bash for jumping on the orange bandwagon if we do well this yr. Each time I've heard him mention ut (seldom brought up but still) he has briefly stated we should be a better team.

When the other doofuses did their top 20 they always skipped us as competiton when looking at a team with us on their schedule. The other day he went over UGAs schedule when talking about losing Crowells and the impact. He mentioned us as a team that should be better, and give them a game.

Btw - OP, I record cfb live to watch later in the day...thanks for ruining the good part for me...:p

10 wins on three conditions:

1) No crippling injuries like last year.

2) The backfield has to perform to the absolute best of their ability.

3) The lines on both sides of the ball make alot of improvement from last year. Specifically in pass rushing/run blocking.

If those happen; 10 wins.

Possibly more depending on how much Bray and company can overperform their already high expectations.

Texas is a good pick. Ridiculous depth and talent - and they've shown nothing the past couple of seasons. They'll get 2nd in the Bigwhatever this year behind Oklahoma I bet.

Dem some big "ifs". 10 wins is a little too optimistic for me. We have a solid first 22 we put on the field, but our depth still has a ways to go to get to 10 wins. I've been saying 8-4 and I'll stick with that. BTW - its a huge step forward.

Who's the Qb and tb

Jeff Driskel and Jacoby Brissett at QB. Driskel was rated the #1 QB out of HS a few years ago, but he can't distance himself from Brissett.

Mike Gillislee and Mack Brown at TB. Unlike Rainey, both weigh more than 160 lbs, but they aren't home run threats. Gillislee is made of balsa wood, and Brown hasn't played meaningful downs yet. Expect Trey Burton to get reps at RB once Gillislee gets hurt.

And he called the Kentucky debacle, which has caused even the most faithful to have grave doubts about the state of the program. I hope he's right!

UF will struggle to win 8 games...if we win that many...too many questions marks on offense.

I really hope we beat NC State so that there will be suspense around the UF game for a change. Your defense should be stout enough to compete with anybody, and I am going to assume that someone will step up as a real offensive threat. Probably not the QB, however. Driskel's pretty uninspiring, as is the other guy.

Driskel was/is really young. Wouldn't surprise me to see him have a good year, dude is an athlete..

So burton should get reps at rb? Man, that dude does it all!

Pretty sure that WVU is going to hold their own. I wouldn't be surprised if they won it this year.

I think the biggest thing with UF is that you are on your third OC in 3 years. New plays, new signals, new terminology, new reads, new blocking schemes and audubles etc... That would be tough for any school no matter what the talent level.
Your defense should keep you in every game though so who knows?
