Sophomore point guard Andraya Carter picks Lady Vols GoVolsXtra

Andraya Carter, a sophomore point guard from Buford (Ga.) High School, has verbally committed to Tennessee.

The 5-foot-9 Carter called Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt Wednesday night with her decision.

She chose UT over an offer from UGA, and UCONN had recently started recruiting her as well, but I think the distance was too much of an issue there. This is a great pickup.

Fulmer has everyone beaten so far in offers. I know it's different, but he offered a scholarship to Aaron Douglas on the day he was born.
