and not to mention the distance between Cali and Knoxville, its always been the same distance btw, has Josh Nunes sitting behind fellow frosh Andrew Luck for the forseeable future. The booing just might have an effect on recruiting after all.

Booing college players has no place in Neyland, if fans want to boo, take it out on the coach. These players are 17-21 yrs old and it is uncalled for by so called fans.

I believe it was actually the coach they were booing during Nunes visiit but what do I know, being a so called fan and all.

Even though I don't support booing of college kids, you will never get rid of it.

or may the fact that he lives on the other side of the country.....
as does Bray but maybe Bray decides the distance has grown since his last visit...who knows, my point being the booing argument was a cop out and much like Marlon Brown he has to sit.

Nunes commits to Phil...comes for a visit hears the boos makes comments about it, suddenly decides UT is just too far awy. The media and some on this board blame the boos.

which is just as likely as the scenario you're putting out there that it was all distance (at least I think that's what you're saying :dunno:)

I was booing because they don't sell beer in Neyland, been doing it for 27 years in a row now, I'm thinking next year is the year they take notice of Joey's non satisfaction and take action.

Just found it comical that some proclaimed him to be our savior and melted down because he left because he heard the boos. Now he is sitting behind a fellow freshman and is possibly third on the depth chart or he might be a rs.

and that was explained to Josh and the Sports Animal but nobody will listen! All boos must not be taken the same. Most think its player related.

We will never know how much the booing has or has not affected a recruits decision, but it truly has no place in Neyland Stadium. I have had to sit down and cover my face, bite my lip, etc., etc., etc. more than a few times over the years, but I hope I always have enough presence of mind to never resort to booing a college kid who is "giving his all for Tennessee" on the field. I realize sometimes we get caught up in the passion of this game(religion) we call UT football, but this is something we do need to think about before we do cause a major recruit to question our loyalty.

no I stand by the Animal factor...it had to be the boos but it seems to have worked its way out. Nunes is home now.

Most, as usual, are idiots.

I didn't realize Luck was a Frosh, Nunes is hating it.

I would be willing to bet that the first of the season the boos on JC were 100% directed towards JC. By the 4th game of the season some may have been directed towards CLK for not pulling him. In the long run people were proven wrong by the coach, now we will see if the fans learned from their mistake.
