Or is it? There are some very interesting accounts of what happened with the whole Shula firing and subsequent search on Bamamag (the Scout Bama site). i don't think you have to be a subscriber to access the public message board. If so, my appologies.

and here's how it all transpired... - www.scout.com

The thing that interests me is the idea that Ray Perkins led to Shula's firing because he told him to stand his ground with Mal Moore by refusing to replace a couple of assistants.

Going back to Saban's press conf. today; he flat out lied when he said his agent only informed him Bama was seriously interested in him after the last game of the NFL season.

I'm already tired of hearing that soundbite that goes:

"Let me make this clear guys, I'm not goin to be the next head coach at Alabama."

Sports radio is absolutley running this thing into the ground and making my head hurt.

"if you had 32 million dollars, who would you hire as your head coach?" that was running for like 3 hrs yesterday

I listen to sports talk radio in my office all day. On days when I'm not busy like today and every show "Mike and Mike", "The Herd", and the one thats on now talks about the same subject it gets mind numbing.
