Oregon Governor's Wife says she is a mentally-ill alcoholic, days after nepotism scandal exploded over her being given official job and police detail while facing bullying accusations

The wife of Oregon governor Tina Kotek has claimed she's a mentally-ill alcoholic amid a growing nepotism scandal that has seen the Democrat's ethics questioned.

Aimee Kotek Wilson announced on Tuesday that she is in recovery from alcoholism but did not specify what kind of mental illness she lives with, as reported by Oregon Live.

'I share this information about myself now, and have in the past, in the hopes it will make a difference and reduce stigma,' Wilson said in a statement.

Wilson's comments come as news organizations have been questioning her new role in Kotek's administration, which includes a security detail while she attends events on the governor's behalf. The funds to pay for the extra security will come out of the existing governor's budget.

Inside State-Run 'Bias-Response Hotlines,' Where Fellow Citizens Can Report Your 'Offensive Joke'

In January 2020, the top law enforcement agency in the state of Oregon launched a "Bias Response Hotline" for residents to report "offensive ‘jokes.’"

Staffed by "trauma-informed operators" and overseen by the Oregon Department of Justice, the hotline, which receives thousands of calls a year, doesn’t just solicit reports of hate crimes and hiring discrimination. It also asks for reports of "bias incidents"—cases of "non-criminal" expression that are motivated, "in part," by prejudice or hate.

Oregonians are encouraged to report their fellow citizens for things like "creating racist images," "mocking someone with a disability," and "sharing offensive ‘jokes’ about someone’s identity." One webpage affiliated with the hotline, which is available in 240 languages, even lists "imitating someone’s cultural norm" as something "we want to hear" about.

Sounds like something that Pam Bondi should look into. Has any Oregonian had their civil or constitutional rights infringed on because some blue haired lefty couldn't take a joke?🤔

A judge has dismissed a $1 million lawsuit filed by the family of an alleged-murderer Antifa activist who was shot and killed by police in Washington.

Michael Forest Reinoehl, 48, a self-proclaimed anti-fascist, was wanted for the murder of Aaron 'Jay' Danielson, 39 - a member of the ring-wing Patriot Prayer group, in Portland, Oregon on August 29, 2020.

Danielson, who was walking with his friend when he died, was allegedly shot in the chest by Reinoehl after clashes between Donald Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter protesters broke out during a rally.

Iconic Meals On Wheels Charity Pulls Out Of Nightmarish Democrat-run City over Rampant Crime And Safety Fears

Meals on Wheels has stopped operating in downtown Portland as its frustrated bosses say they can't keep staff safe in the crime-ridden city.

The charity said this week it is closing its two facilities in the city, with frustrated Meals on Wheels Chief Executive Officer Suzanne Washington telling reporters it was a 'long time coming.'

Washington lamented a lack of action to curb crime as the reason for the decision, which brought the charity's 20-year stay at its popular Elm Court location to a close.

'I can’t keep our staff safe and our volunteers safe because there’s always something happening,' she said, per KION.

'We’ve been threatened with knives, and fires have been set. It was time to close.'

Washington said the charity has been continually losing volunteers due to the conditions they are forced to work in, including coming face-to-face with vagrants and criminals almost every day.

'Every day, they’re stepping over feces, and there’s needles and drug dealing and deaths,' she said.

Protesters Clash With ICE Agents As Trump Deploys Federal Troops To ‘war-ravaged’ Portland

Federal agents began arriving in “war ravaged” Portland, Ore., over the weekend after President Donald Trump ordered military deployment to the city, with at least one clash already erupting outside an ICE facility.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer was seen Friday shoving a protester to the ground, according to video footage captured by KATU-TV.

Another demonstrator was detained as agents confronted crowds outside the South Portland site.

In an early-morning Truth Social post Saturday, Trump said he authorized “full force” to protect what he called “War ravaged Portland” and federal buildings “under siege by ANTIFA, and other domestic terrorists.”

Mayor Keith Wilson, speaking at a late-night press conference Friday, said, “We now have a sudden influx of federal agents in our city.

“We did not ask for them to come. They are here without precedent or purpose,” Wilson said.

Residents reacted sharply to the deployment.

David Schmidt, who lives near the ICE building, told KATU, “Every night, there’s tons of protesters basically being vagrants on the street. … They are making noise constantly, even when nobody from ICE is outside.”
