That is actually the first thing I have read that makes me feel at all better about this weekend. I think I dread this matchup more than any other this year.

They actually give reference percentages for score difference as well. The main takeaway is that we were favored to win in all three games, which we did.

More confusing to me is they only give us a 36% chance of beating Georgia. I know it's away but seems awfully low.

Another interesting point is our Offensive Efficiency, which takes into account non-garbage time drives.

We are ranked 19th in the country vs. Florida at a measly #58.

Granted this was last years numbers, so take it with a grain of salt

And what did the computers say about us not even coming close to covering the spread against Ohio or App State, clearly less superior competition? Yeah, this article makes me feel somewhat better (not much), but computers cannot watch the game. They just use statistics. And anyone with a brain that has watched us play this season knows this is going to be a struggle.

I just don't see us winning by 18 points. That is insane.

I hope that the team has more confidence going into this game than the Vol fan base. Gonna be all about the mindset. Hope CBJ has got the boys ready to play! GBO!

I said earlier this week that if the game were played 5 times, you'd win 4 of them. I still think you likely win it, but I admit I'm starting to have my doubts that Dobbs and your oline can hold up versus the Gator D.

hard to wrap my mind around a prediction like that. Can't understand it based on the history. I know every year is a new year but just based on the history and our performances over the first 3 games, it just boggles the mind.

But I'll take it.

We are currently #92 in offense, Florida is #35. Neither of use has played great competition, but Florida has offensively produced more against their poor competition than we have.

Florid is #1 in total defense, we are #46. Granted neither of us have played stellar competition, but their defense has categorically played better than ours.

We couldn't destroy Ohio, or App State on either side of the ball. We may pull off a win, but it will be a close game if we do.

You're not the only one having doubts. Only thing that makes me feel better is knowing the gator offense is probably even worse.

I'm of the mind that analytics, computer models, talent evaluations and all sorts of predictions are out the window when it comes to UT-UF. Most (and stress the most) of the times that game is a knock down, drag out bar brawl with no holds barred. Kind of like the Bedlam game with OU and OSU, Ohio State-Michigan, etc, etc.

I'll take the win rather than a big win.

Not being a di** here but don't act like UF's Oline is any better. Last I recall they were pretty bad as well
