Let's play a lil game...Hamilton thinks the football program is going downhill and fires Phil Fulmer after 2005 football season. Who do you guys think he gets? I know the question doesn't really matter know, but I was just wondering what you all would think and just wanted to see what people thought. Also, if Gruden got fired, let's say a week after Fulmer was fired for having conflict with the ownership, do you think we have Gruden now instead of Kiffin?

If Fulmer was fired after 2005, then we would have Butch Davis or Steve Spurrier right now. Now if Gruden was fired just after Fulmer, then we would still have not ended up with him, another NFL team would have hired him at the end of the season

It wouldn't have been Spurrier. He wouldn't leave SCjr after one year. No way in hell Hamilton would hire a heart attack victim that just got fired from Ole Miss. Nick Saban wouldn't have left the Dolphins after one year. Rich Rod wouldn't leave WV at that point, either. I'd say Butch Davis or maybe Dennis Erickson.

I don't see Gruden ever being a college coach. There will always be a job for him in the NFL.
