I can't get on volnation these days without reading everything possible negative about the program. Now I understand we are in a down time right now as a program, but what people need to look at is the bright side of things. With these coaches leaving, we now have the opportunity to bring in new coaches who could potentially be a better fit for Tennessee and gel with Dooley. It was obvious something wasn't right between DD and his old staff, but most of those guys are gone now. He has the chance to bring in different guys with a new AD who will be willing to spend in order to win now. I like our potential on the offensive side of the ball regardless of if Heistand leaves or not. I feel like Chaney, Graham, and Hinshaw are all staying regardless of what happens and we could find a replacement for Heistand that would be just as serviceable. Combine all this with the amount of starters we are returning and the recruiting class we are bringing in, all of a sudden things are looking pretty bright on the hill! I can't wait till the rest of the fan base realizes Tennessee is on it's way back with Dooley at the helm if they will just be patient and let him work this offseason instead of making him feel as if he needs to look over his shoulder for the next HC coming. If you support the team, you gotta support the coach too. GO VOLS!! :loco:

I am a posi-vol too. I am a realist too. I know it's a long road to the top and I am faithful we are slowly putting the people together to get us there. Some people are so negative about everything. They must be miserable people.

Trying my best to stay positive, but it's gets more difficult each day. I still believe in Coach Dooley, I still believe in this team. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more than a little "concerned" right now, but once a DC and other coaches are in place, NSD is done, we can hopefully move on and start building the excitement back.

I'm definitely still a positive VOL fan...I feel that we are headed in the right direction and feel we have GREAT leadership in our coaching staff....I think most optimistic VOL fans simply don't post much because of all the ignorant and impatient folks (who want results now regardless of circumstances) bashing them for having faith in their team

<--- Posivol right here. :) Most of my negative comments come after reading some retarded gibberish from some fools like FijiVol, champyvol, DrunkJohnny, allvol1233453 (whatever his numbers are--you know who you are), etc.

I'm just trying to be as patient as possible with this program, as difficult as it is. Fact is, no one apparently knew how bad of shape we were/are in and how long it will take to work out, and many aren't willing to see the forest for the trees without being smart@ss negavols about it.

I am a VFL. Tennessee is going through a tough time right now, but it doesn't stop me from wearing my orange & white every day. This has just made me stronger as a fan. All of this suckage can't last forever.

I'm hoping for some big name hires to replace those departed. If not then I'll still want Dooley to have another year. It want take long to get a feel as NC State will not be a cream puff game. Holding this recruiting class together is critical.

Still positive here, in spite of all.

I've heard it's darkest before the dawn.

P.S.- It was pretty dark last night, watching one of our most detested rivals play a near perfect football game for the second national championship in three years, but this too shall pass.

The statement about having to support the coach if you support the team is false. That said, I will reserve my judgement until after the season. If he can't get it done in 2012the or AT LEAST make great strides, it will be time to move on.

Look, if Vic N Bills suddenly came under new management and the legendary burgers that I have always loved started to suck, I would still love Vic N Bills, but I would hope for a new manager to come in and restore the burgers to their former glory.

My sentiments exactly. Concerned because a team can only live on history and past tradition for so long. This generation of players have very little knowledge(if any) of how Tenn was during the 90's. All they see is what is happening today. For the last few years we really haven't been much to watch. Our attendance toward the end of this last year speaks volumes about our program. I am really surprised at the interest we have now from players. I pray that Dooley can turn this program around quickly !!
