Am I The Last "Fulmerite" ???

This is not the Olympics....Style points don't count....We played for the SEC Championship last year....Poll the other SEC Head Coaches and ask them if they think Tennessee is dangerous.....Yes....you are right....we do get pounded....but....we also do some pounding....and....at the end of the day...the teams that get pounded the least amount play for the SEC Championship....Ask Les Miles if he thought playing Tennessee in the SEC Championship game was paramount to playing a patsy....We will back to the SEC Championship soon and we will win and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we do it with many or most of the players on this year's team.....

Ask Les and Urban who won.

Who said any thing about a national championship?

Are we competitive in the SEC?

Success is not glorify an eastern division pennant....

When has Fulmer been dangerous in the last 10 years?

Dangerous because our rivals pounded us into the ground.... it is his fault we were there in the first place...[/QUOT

Success is not getting to the SEC Championship...

Competitive against your rivals and winning championships.

I have no idea why people find it hard to strive for excellence.....

I am positive that Tennessee's Coaches all strive for excellence in themselves and in the players....I also believe that the players want to achieve something akin to excellence in their playing and in their personal life....Lest we forget....these are kids and striving for excellence is a learned response not a natural one....and...to achieve the excellence that you are talking about...a person has to go through the fire first to learn exactly what it takes to achieve excellence....the coaches can coach and yell and talk all they want about striving for that excellence but until the kids learn what it personally takes....they won't achieve it.....When the UT Football team walks off the field after the 1st Quarter and says that they are done for the day, then I will believe that we have problems.....As long as they continue to fight to the end of the game then I believe that we are in fact "Striving for Excellence"....If we don't achieve it this year....so be it.....I believe that we will get there....

I feel sorry for the kids.............

It is not their fault they are instructed by lousy coaches....

:dunno:

I need one of those bears to guard the unfenced area of the lawn where the neighbors keep letting thier dogs poop.

I have read and re-read that d@#$ed letter since it came out last year and honestly, it ticks me off.

What it basically says is... "If you didn't play UT football then you can't criticize"... We'll I did graduate from UT and still provide support to the school... I CAN CRITICIZE IF I WANT TO...

Now, I need to lay down...

the grass isnt always greener on the other side by getting a new coach. Look at Michigan, even GA under Richt went 8-4 his first year. All it will take is a loss to FL or whoever and you will want to fire him too....lets just play out this year and see what happens. GO VOLS BEAT UAB

I would happily take an 8-4 season to have the same success Richt has had. Bad comparison.

He has a great winning pct. in the toughest conference in the nation. I can not understand how this can be ignored. How is his won-loss record reflective of "doing less with more" ? He is a Hall of Fame Coach.

Fulmers record against Georgia, Florida, Auburn and LSU since the year 2000 is a combined

7-17

That pretty much sums it up.

Who cares if he can beat Vandy, UK, Memphis, and Wyoming every year? Any high school coach could coach UT and beat those schools with the talent we have.

I don't know man... even IE 95 has been seein' the light recently. I think this guy must be orangesquare.

If he ever was off the reservation, IE 95 is back on the bandwagon with both hands filled with pitchers of the kool-aid (judging from what I've seen over the last few days).

Richt has won 2 SEC championships @ UGA since 2002. I'd be happy to take an 8-4 next year with a new coach for an SEC championship in 2010. Rich Rodriguez doesn't have the players he needs to run his system. Let's see where Michigan is in a year or two.

Well, naturally, but that's the benefit of hindsight.

He's right, you know. If and when we do change coaches, it will be rocky going for a while. It's hardly unusual. And the bitching will still be in high gear.

Hell, look what people are saying about Clawson already.

I missed this...

"This was a trap game to begin with with everyone saying how crappy UCLA was."

How do you have a trap game in the first game of the season? UCLA was scheduled between fall practice and a bye week... :ermm:

After reading the majority of posts, it feels that way. What I don't understand is this. If Coach Fulmer says nothing, he is not taking responsibility for the loss. If he says he is very upset, then he is accused of just saying what he thinks fans want to hear. If he wins, that is not good, because he will "hang on to his job". If he loses he should be fired now.
In the era of coaches that will sell themselves to the highest bidder (Petrino, Saban etc.) and could care less about anything but a big contract, I will always support Coach Fulmer. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are not the last one, i'm with you brother, Tennessee rolls from here on out and to all you UT doubters, Fulmer beats Meyer next weekend and rolls for there.

Thank-you. It's not "Fire Phil" . It's that "Phil's Fired Up"!!! I am always proud to be a VOL. I am especially proud to be a "Fulmerite". Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's kind of like saying "my wife is 300 lbs, never showers, has no regard for my happiness, never makes love to me, never fixes me dinner, never does any house work, and never lets me leave the house--but she's never cheated on me, so I'll stick with her".

Now Mrs. Fulmer I realize you love and support your husband, and Fosters mom has encouraged you to post in support but these who are you gonna believe me or your lyin eyes threads have got to stop!:birgits_giggle:

Just like I have been saying. He shows emotion on the sidelines and it is just theatrics and he must be fired. He shows no emotion on the sidelines, he is not inspiring his team so he must be fired.

No, he must be fired because these days we're more likely to lose a game to a SEC opponent than win it!!!
