A player takes a personal leave of absence and you guys run with it...Latham will be back and better than ever...
I just cast out the facts
They were allot bites that made the floater go under the water.
Didn't know it was discussed on a game thread when I posted it.
but I did check lady Vols news thread wasn't there so posted about it.

Point is, it was atrocious.

We concur. I'd posted the 1 for 20 in the second and third quarters in a different thread and posted it over here again because I thought you might find it interesting. I mean, it's almost impressively bad. It would be hard to shoot it that bad if you were actually trying to shoot poorly.

Trying to bounce them off the rim should get you close… 😉

Whatever happened to the dribble drive and pull up jumper. They shoot too many 3’s

We took 33 against NC St and made 9 which is close to terrible, arguably if we had took ten less and drove the basket or took inside the paint shots we would've won that game. Two point percentage this season 54 percent on 140 attempts and three point 25 percent on 137 attempts.

Idk c-p, we used to play around in the gym, shoot 3s off handed, shoot them with eyes closed, half court shooting contests, I don't think any of us went 1-20 in any of those. In a way, it's truly impressive.
Underrated post. You've reminded me that I've had the same experiences. Better numbers, even times playing pickup games left-handed because of injuries.

🧐 Which IMHO points toward the issue being something mental, especially since they were playing in familiar surroundings.

I've wondered in the past that there seems to be a "total roster off-night shooting" phenomena that happens to close, tight-knit teams.

Yup. I thought they came out really trying to up the energy against Belmont. Which is good at they needed it But for shooting, I think you can be too energized. Got to hit the right energy zone to produce the practiced performance. Thus the phenomenon of players performing very well when injured or sick. Just focused on doing what they can do the way they practiced.

If a bit of an overboost was part of it, perhaps we can look forward to significantly better shooting on a regular basis.

Latham was on the bench last night but not in uniform— CKC said she’s hopeful she’ll be playing in the next game. Great news!

Yes, I was so glad when the camera panned to her. She looked like she was in good spirits as well. I hope she comes back healthy and happy.

I’ve actually wondered a bit if it could have been a little grades issue. It was right around the time mid-term grades come out.

Total speculation.
