don't make this out to be more than what it is...there is no sentinel story.
She had a personal thing that she needed to take care of
It will only be a big issue if Coach Kim says it is a big issue

Is facebook still around?

Jumper the article in post#4 I posted has Kim Caldwell video saying (not enough sharing the basketball.- everyone wants to drive wants to bunch it not enough passes)
She also says something about screeners
Watch video want to give your opinion?

Yes Facebook is still around.
You can even private message people on it.

You need players that will set screens or set picks.
To many players with the attitude got to get mine staTS.
Will get beaten by a equal talented team playing unselfish basketball.
That is a bigger story sharing basketball
building team chemistry

Glad I couldn't watch the game (thanks for nothing Youtube TV). I keep checking here to see signs the ladies are starting to get it together. Last night doesn't sound very encouraging.
I watched the replay this morning and noticed that their play last night was about the same as their last game. Belmont had a very real opportunity to shock the Women's basketball world. Tennessee looks like a totally out of sync team.

Their 3 point shooting was terrible. I haven't looked at the game stats, but I believe they may have hit two 3 point attempts in the first half. Turnovers were ridiculous. Free throws were awful. Jump shots and free throws are about your shooting form, and they looked more like they were just throwing the ball up toward the goal, but didn't maintain their form. The last 2 games have been very sloppily played. I'm sure Coach Caldwell will fix these issues, hopefully before the next game. UT Martin and Belmont should never have been able to make the games as close as they did.

Hit multiple 3s in Q1. BUT, shot a combined 1-20 on 3s in the second and third quarters.

Well, we knew 3 pt. shooting was going to be a concern by KC's pre-season comments. Long way to go still. I can't help but keep thinking in the back of my mind "right person, wrong system". I sure hope I'm wrong about that!

I ONLY watch LV’s in WCB. Several of us were talking after the game. The undisciplined play was very evident last night. Prob a lot is from still learning the system etc. Hard to watch a team who at one point late in the second half had taken 28 3’s…and missed 25. Pulling for LV and Coach Caldwell but honestly that was difficult to watch last night.

The defense ...especially the half assed full court press was just as depressing as the offense.....

It certainly is not a positive reflection on Coach. Are the athletes personalities
too strong to effectively coach into a smooth running machine or is it too big a job for current staff?

Hoping this doesn't turn out to be a staff of elite recruiters and no coaching skills. I'm not accusing, just curious.

I'm guessing that Ruby was a stronger team leader than most of us realize, even though I heard some of her teammates bragging on her at the beginning for being the team leader and saying how important she was. Maybe they weren't just being nice. Maybe losing Ruby has thrown chemistry way off. I mean, one player CAN make or break a locker-room sometimes.

Zee is definitely not herself. She's not nearly as engaged as she used to appear to be, and I've noticed a couple of times that she's often not looking at Kim in huddles and such anymore. It could just be I'm just happening to be paying attention to that the couple of times a game she looks like that. I don't know.

I think the team may need something fun/meaningful to do together outside of basketball to maybe help them come to terms with their feelings. I feel bad for everyone that things have started off on such shaky ground when I know they likely all figured they'd be solid.

I hope they'll be okay soon.

I kinda think Ruby is missed more than some will admit. I understand the need for discipline, but it just came at a really bad time for a young team. I also believe this team will be fine later in the year when it really counts.
