Does anyone know where I can get a picture like the one hanging behind the cash register? Of the player jumping over the line?

That player was Tony Thompson. There have been other posts about this. The picture is in the big pic thread. I have looked for it for years for sale matted and framed with no luck.

Wow! That is a great photo. I answered my own question...that is a different photo. But I guess that is the one I was thinking of...someone I know used to own that. I remember that Tony was a flyer

I'll always remember Tony Thompson jumping in the endzone in the sugar bowl.

I was there!!! 16-15 over Virginia in a comeback...I may be a little off on the score. I can't figure out the opponent in that photo. Is that Arkansas?

Hey, I looked that up. It was 23-22 over Virginia in the Sugar Bowl.

Oct, 1990...we beat the gators 45-3. I was also at that game! It was close at the half..like 10-3. And Dale Carter returned the second half kickoff for a TD. The gators laid down and we absolutely beat the fire out of them in the second half. My wife and I had great seats...like section T, lower level. That was Steve Spurriors (sp?) first game at Neyland as the gators head coach. Those were the days!!!

I assume it was done by UT and sold through the bookstore like most pics back in the day? I have thought about just going to one of the print shops and having it blown up.

As mentioned that was the 1990 Homecoming game (believe it or not).

Even though we've played them every year since 1990, the '90 and '91 games were played in Oct and not Sept. This was before the SEC East existed and those 2 game were the rotation games because there were only 6 conf. games then.

Yeah, that was what was kinda funny about it. We beat Florida 45-3 and it didn't really even seem like that big of deal back then. In the 80's, we didn't play them every year and they usually didn't even have a decent team. Especially in the 60's thru the 80's, they were not very good. They had a good team in 1984 but were on probation for cheating so their record didn't count. Back then, Auburn was a much bigger rival for us than Florida. The gators won their first SEC championship like in 1995 or such. They have no tradition at all.
