I've read and listened to everything like we all have and I am really puzzled as to how we have come to the conclusion that Fulmer is gone. I think the most credible piece of information is the fact that Jimmy Hyams has stated he doesn't think Fulmer will be back based on boosters telling him that Fulmer couldn't afford 6 losses. Volchat has some other bits and pieces...all specualtion based on he said, she said. I'd like to think that with this amount of media attention and chatroom talk that someone has proof...yet there is none. Talk about a let down if Fulmer actually returns next year!!!

the only way i see fulmer coming back is IF it is revealed that he is indeed not letting clawson run his offense. if you look @ the athletes that have committed(especially @ qb) it all points toward the type of thing clawson is trying to do. i don't see hamilton letting CPF go being this close to Neylands all-time wins record. So basically, fulmer comes back with the stipulation that he keep his hands OFF OF THE OFFENSE and let clawson do his thing.

You can say what you want about Chavis, but I think he is an above average defensive coordinator and border-line great if he has the right athletes and an offense that can stay on the field for more than 3 plays at a time. There will be a lot of complaining if he's not fired, but winning tends to quiet a lot of complaining.

Oh how I am on the same page as you. All of this speculation and talk is quite frankly getting annoying. Fulmer is supposed to state he is going to resign after yesterdays game! No wait that was after florida, bama, miss state, now it's wyoming! I do not have my hopes up high that he is leaving because I'm not going to speculate and wish for this or that coach until something is actually done.

When so many people put their hopes up so high, oh how chaos will come when something doesn't happen...

About the only thing I can think of is if he's brought back, he's given the ultimatium to either beat Florida next season or he's fired right after that game, assuming they've won the games before.

I agree. Most of the people on this site are border line idiots. Most have never even played a down of football and I would bet most don't even go to the game because they are so cheap. All they want to do is sit back and make rude and obnoxious posts. Everyone needs to get real and get a life. I want Fulmer gone as bad as anyone but in no way shape or form am I going to sit here and bad mouth and degrade this univeristy especially when those kids are playing as hard as they can. Coach Fulmer will be back next year and why wouldn't he? What coach that would be an upgrade has shown interest? Nada! I am sick and tired of everyone ruining this site with their ignorant and stupid posts. This site is designed to support the university and its students. So if you don't like the way things are going go find another team. I can assure you that you want be missed!

It's bad enough with the HC dictating to the OC; but the AD telling Fulmer how he wants him to coach. I'm not against Clawson running the show, but that sounds like an even worse situation than we have now

The KNS today quoted Clawson as saying it was he who benched Stephens after he threw the pick as a reminder that they always have to play hard, so it would seem he has a good deal of control. He probably just needs to get his own guys in there.

And what about QB recruit Tajh Boyd's saying that he was told by Fulmer and Hamilton that, concerning the rumors about Fulmer's status, "they didn’t think anything was going to happen." I thought that was pretty interesting:
