I rarely wander onto the football side of VN, most of you know I'm a recruiting guy. Few of you knew I was an Oregon guy I think.... either way, I'm pumped for this game, I wanted to make it down but it didn't work out.

I have great respect for CDD and the direction of the program. You guys all know I think Chuck Smith will be one of the top D-line coaches in the nation very soon, but bad news as I've pumped you all up.

I think Oregon has too much speed for Tennessee right now. If Oregon takes care of the football they should win easily, however Neyland is it's own animal and will help, but in the end after half time, Oregon will fire it up a notch and never look back. Close score at half, like 13-10 either team, final score of 38-24 Oregon.

I didn't come onto gloat or trash talk, but I think I've earned the right here to have my voice heard a little. As you were VN.

Reverse that score and I think you are right. Oregon has speed we have.. Well we're Tennessee.

You have made a well thought out argument and presented it surprisingly well. So I can only deduce one thing, that you are not really an Oregon guy, but instead a closet Tennessee fan.

Well, JHop, I'm going to be deer hunting in the morning, so I won't be around when everyone shows up to call you a bleeding heart Liberal and a Communist.

But good luck, Ducks, lets meet in the middle, touch gloves, and come out punching.

Jhop I like to read your stuff in the recruiting section but I think you have the score reversed on this one. Hope I am right and you are wrong. GO BIG ORANGE

Well i think Tennessee is too physical for Oregon, so my final score is 24 -20 Tennessee.

Speed, speed, speed... It's like everyone has forgotten we play Flordia, Bama, and UGA every year. UF is the fastest team in America. They have several sub 4.3 guys(Although I don't really believe whoever is keeping the stop watch since Joe Haden's combine speed).

If it is anything that UT will have trouble with, it'll be the multi options Oregon runs. My thoughts.

Vols take out Darron Thomas in the 1st quarter. Crowd noise too much for backup qb, utter confusion for the Ducks offensively, and the Tennessee D will look like they had Oregon's playbook weeks in advance... Dream or not, that's my belief until proven otherwise! GO VOLS!!!!

Probably wouldn't do much good for the Vols to take out DT. Nate Costa, the backup, was in a dead heat for him the job with him and is a 5th year senior and veteran of the team. The crowd's more likely to rattle Thomas then Costa.

Also, the real secret to our success is a excellent, veteran O-Line and not one, but two, all-american caliber running backs.

Good post. Agree completely with you. Close game in the first half that Oregon's speed and depth takes over in the second half.

Go Ducks!

Three things counter speed. Equal speed, turnovers, and weather.

- The Ducks have the edge in speed.
- Ducks control their own destiny by protecting the ball.
- 75% chance of rain in current forecast starting around kickoff and clearing up for a short while around 9-10pm.

I know they're Ducks, but I'm sure they still prefer a dry field.
