This is not a criticism, it's a recognition, and an admission on my part.
I just watched the post-game (KY) press conference. Did I see CJP ALMOST smile..???? Not sure, so I thought I'd ask if anyone else saw it too.
Since this is the FIRST game that IMHO the Vols played like BIG ORANGE oughta be playing it is the first time we have had a chance to see CJP react to a genuine Big Orange smackdown of a ranked team. (yeah...I know, I know...we beat Auburn and we're all ecstatic about that, but while it's a (W) on the record...it wasn't the 60-minutes of hard played physical football that this one was)
Sooo...to the point: CJP's press conference. A number of us, myself included have been critical of our Coach's demeanor in post-LOSS press conferences.
Whatta-Ya-Know....the man's demeanor doesn't change much, if at all....after a HUGE win !!
We're going to beat 'Bama one day, if it comes in 40-3, CJP will be just as dour, and feel compelled to point out..."well, we let them get too close and gave their field goal unit a chance to get that score on us...we'll have to work hard to improve that part of the game..... aight."
OK...going forward, we know what to expect, and I feel a lot better about the future.

I have wondered what a coach's demeanor at a press conference has to do with the success or failure of his team. I could care less. It's what he has to say that counts. (i.e. Pruitt or Jones, both ends of the spectrum) You can see what is happening in a program if you listen and pay little attention to how the coach looks or acts.
