Allstate Sugar Bowl: (13) Michigan vs. (11) Virginia Tech

Either way, the call was made and there's nothing anyone can do about it now.

I do not feel sorry for anyone who complains about getting bad calls anymore, because we've been severely jobbed on things that were nowhere near as close as this one.

That actually makes me more sympathetic.

True, and really I have no sympathy for VT anyway. They served that game up on a silver platter for Michigan.

Why? "Bad" calls happen, and I've come to accept it's the nature of the game.

Thinking you had the game won, and then getting it taken away should not be part of the game. VT's defense likely holds with a 7 point lead. They thought they had that thing won. It's a tough loss. I'm not saying I feel bad enough to send them relief money. But I think a sense of sympathy is natural.

The bad penalties and horrid playcalling should alleviate that sympathy.
