All things STOCKS

One of the harder stocks to understand for me. P/E in the 20’s yet they are the undisputed leader of the hottest sector in the market and continue to make wheelbarrow loads of money every quarter? Seems like they would support a P/E in the 40’s or higher?

I’m guessing that they are so big it’s challenging to grow from here.

I think that so much of what the market has seen from them, especially over the last 12-18 months but even over the past 2-3 years is priced in. The stock kind of infamously at this point has very tepid reactions to what are incredible earning reports. It's like the market sees the report, goes "Yeah, we knew that" and moves on.

It isn't like the stock is a poor performer though; it's up 21% YTD, handily outperforming the market.

I don’t understand governmental finance, but paying more interest to service an ever rising national debt seems unsustainable? Interest is now the second largest item in the federal budget behind Social Security at around 20% and 3.3% of GDP. It was 12.5% in 2000. In spite of this, Congress continues to spend money like drunken sailors? Socialism is establishing a foothold within the Democratic party promising more government handouts? Make it make sense

Trump has no problem increasing national debt. Thought is we are the USA. The rest of the world doesn't care.

Been a great couple of days. Let's see how long this little rally lasts.
Took some profits in 5 stocks today. Just waiting on a significant retreat that might never come. or be so bad that I'm afraid to buy at any price. I don't have the years left to wait through a 3-5 year bear market

People in their 20s and 30s seem to be more interested in gambling than Benjamin Graham, Buffet/Munger, Peter Lynch, or Jack Bogle.

Valuations don’t make a lot of sense right now.

I’m tempted to go 75% or more unmanaged, low fee ETFs. Now, get off of my lawn.

I've gone more to Vanguard ETFs. Added some 13-18 month CDs.

I’m in primarily sp500 index funds. Saw an article in fidelity this morning that thought was a decent read. Talks about the outsized performance of the top of the sp500. Feel like this might get more extreme as those have the cash/balance sheet to spend on growth. Will be interesting to see how the cost of capital affects companies, feels like a strong balance sheet is about to matter more now than it has in a long time.

What does blown up mean? Is that good or bad? I can't even tell.

The short positions aren't shown, so if that somehow is becoming interesting, I guess the person who typed lol was too dumb to understand what the fund fundamentally is.

Long-only unleveraged funds can never be interesting.

Boring is good! Well if it's making you $

I just drove 6 hours up 81 and the truck traffic is insane. Bad news if you are driving, but really good news if you are talking about the economy. If we keep the commies out of Washington, then this economy is going to boom pretty soon.
