Mark Lawrence picked Florida to Win, Sports Reporter too, MOF, every Handicapping service has Florida as their Underdog Play; and with good reason considering the stats & trends, Ut has an abysmal record vs uf, even when fla sucks (last year's close game should have been a blowout) and especially @ Uf. Joe & Company CAN change that, if they just play like they are capable. Night game down there with all the loud drunks, going to be a challenge. This game will define Tennessee's season; and more. Hang in there guys and GO VOLS!

A lot of people are low key picking Florida, or at the very least picking Florida to cover.

For whatever reasons, many of which I think this board has argued to death this week, the narrative on Tennessee has turned. Going all the way back to the start of the 2022 season, the narrative has been "you better score often against Tennessee, because they will score on you." That's changed, and it started Monday or Tuesday of this week. There's a growing sentiment of "the offense isn't on track this year," and it's going to take a demonstrative win to shift that narrative back in Tennessee's favor.

We vote with our dollars. You can talk about beating FL all day long but will you put your money where your heart is? Vegas is build on "homers" who blindly bet on their team to win. I'm a lifelong Vol fan but I'm putting my money on FL. We aren't going to beat the spread......

Florida is an extremely young team. Per its recent starting 2-deep lineup (excluding special teams), it has only 6 seniors and a whopping 20 freshmen.

In contrast, Tennessee will be starting 25 seniors and only 5 freshman (in the 2-deep, excluding special teams).

This is gonna be a men v. boys smackdown.

Florida is rebuilding bigly, and the Utah game was no fluke. I don't care if this game is in The Swamp or on the Moon, it won't make much difference.

Betting-wise, I think our offense will come out with guns blazing. Our OC kept his hand in check during the first 2 games and really didn't show much. Yes, Joe will be airing it out *deep* to Squirrel and Thornton. Plus, with the players-only meeting following the lame AP performance, I think our players will be very, very amped up and focused. Expecting us to look alot more like we did last year with our quick starts.

Got 3 bets going into the game:

TN -0.5 (-185) at halftime
TN -6.0 (+110) at halftime
TN -6.5 (-115) for the full game

GBO.

Interesting fact: Vegas casinos make about 65% of their gambling income from slot machines.

Nine times in row down there and the fact Tennessee has had the better team before like they do this time and still managed to lose the game. Probably the reason why. They look at history and trends. Both favor Florida.

My biggest worry comes when I think of how we played at UGA and SC last season. Both night games on the road. Both electric atmospheres. Both stadiums filled with raucously hostile opposing fans. Both games we seemed to not be able to match the opponents' level of intensity. Yeah, we won on the road at LSU, but it was an early game and the crowd didn't seem as frenzied. Even in our own stadium last week, AP's team came out fired-up and we played like our heads were still in the locker room.

Saturday night will be an atmosphere that is similar to past games where we seemed to shrink. A win in that kind of environment on the road will be especially meaningful -- more so than the value of a W over the Gators, IMO.

Correction: UGA was an afternoon game. Thanks to BowlBrother85 for pointing that out.

UT -6 at the Half? Dang you are getting screwed. Should be 4.
