I know a lot of radio and so called journalist have tried to shoot down the Gruden rumors the last couple weeks. The question I have is why hasn't Gruden or anyone associated with him laid such rumors to rest?

I think he will here in the next day or two. He told me if he isn't wearing an orange tie on the MNF show tonight, that is our sign that we need to look elsewhere.

Jon thought Charlie Strong would do a darn good job for us.

Why would he need to shut them down? He's not coaching, so it's not like the rumors are hurting his recruiting efforts or anything.

The more hubbub there is surrounding a possible Gruden invite, the more money he can ask for should UT come courting. So, why would he want to dampen the enthusiasm?

Doesnt matter what he would say.....

Seem to remember Nick Saban in a Miami Dolphins polo with the comment to reporters.......DO I NEED TO SAY IT? OK I WILL SAY IT. I WILL NOT BE THE COACH AT ALABAMA"

They then announced Rich Rods hiring to have him change his mind a day later, then the guy who denied the position, accepted it.

It aint over til its over!

Folks, Gruden isn't leaving ESPN for Rocky Top. Don't get your hopes up.

He signed a huge contract with ESPN last year.

Gruden signs five-year extension with ESPN | Tom Balog on Sports

Listen....Gruden is the super sexy hot chick all guys drool over. She might shoot you down once...but you have to keep asking to show her how damn serious you are and how badly you want her. Persistance and time if she says no....persistance and time.

Saban said no to Bama when he was in Miami....I'm just saying.

UH NO! Come on girl you know you wanna... UH NO! I've got 5,000,000 reasons (dollars) you should. UH OK Lets do it!

1. Gruden likes the attention.

2. Either the rumors are true and that is what is keeping everyone quite.

3. Or, the rumors are such bogus that he doesn't even feel the need to respond to them.

Why is it their responsibility to respond to the rumors? It is to his advantage to be associated with rumors. It drives his value up. He owes nothing to UT and the fans.

I will say this: of all the reputable "sources" I know, not one has shot down the likelihood that JG is the next HFC at UT. To me, that has to count for something. E-cred and "told ya so" are far from their concerns...
