No one has named a better coach that is available or that we could get.
Not some damned pipe dream that won't happen. An AD damned sure better have a coach locked down before they fire an 8 win coach.
And for those who say we need an AD who will "pony up the money". You have no clue. That's not how it works. The AD is far from the only one who is involved in the financial end of this.

I think most people know the landscape right now. The blowback right now is simply a reaction of how the season ended.

The truth is there is it any better coaches available, and I don't know that we would Lure any away. it's also true that we have a lame duck athletic director that is not going to fire CBJ, nor is he going to hire a new coach as a new athletic director is going to be higher next year.

So butch is here, he's not going anywhere and we get to stay in football purgatory.

Is he still the coach at UT?
If so then I still hope he wins every game he coaches.

Agreed. Now I had you asked me if I think Butch Jones will win every game he coaches the answer is a resounding no.

I think what we get with Butch Jones is exactly what we've gotten to this point.

Pity ticket sales next year. This will be worse than 2012.

I think Vandy was a must win.
He could win a title and still be remembered as a guy who lost twice to Vandy. And in addition everything he has to do just got so much harder to do.

I didn't even respond because my question was a legit shot at getting and not a pipe dream.

The answer to my question is that there are none.
And if Jones leaves UT on his own we will be laughed at as the school that was jolted yet again for another school. And this time it won't be USC.

What coach hasn't had bad losses? Herman had 3 this year. Petrino just lost to Kentucky. Sumlin lost. Freeze lost. It appears people won't be happy with anybody.

well I said when we hired that either he will make himself look like a genius or he will make Brian Kelly look like one as Jones followed Kelly after Kelly had been to 2 or 3 schools. Looks like he is making Kelly the genius but we still have to support Jones for the moment. I think a couple of coaches need to go but the players have to take some of the blame, there is a problem if they cant get fired up in the first half an then normally come out the second an kick butt. So some things do need to change.
