1973 Trivia, History and Fun Facts
Can't remember. Long story, but my dad bought it new for my mom, so it was already in the family. I paid rent/room/board which is another story. So I had to pay half for the car and the other half was taken from my "rent". I just don't remember. Seems like my out of pocket was $800 said and done. Sold it in 84 for $3200.Nice first set of wheels. Set you back round $1000 - $1200?
You stole it at $800 if it was a Ram Air Formula with the 400/400 engine/transmission setup. Thing was built to romp. Have to sell it to payoff the tickets you got in it?
Well, I "paid" probably around $1400 give or take and yes, it was a monster and yes, no joke...I still feel the financial effects of that car.
I got 3 tickets in about a four hour stretch. 1 doing 127 with my little brother in the passenger seat that got me in deep doodoo. My dad was good friends with the State Trooper that lived in our town that gave me that ticket. He wrote the ticket, had me sign it and took it to my dad. Lulz.
Plenty more, but those were worth mentioning.

Hope that 127 ticket was the last one you got in that 4 hour stretch & not the first one. If it was first, you really really real dumbWell, I "paid" probably around $1400 give or take and yes, it was a monster and yes, no joke...I still feel the financial effects of that car.

Oh ok. Then you was dumb thenI'm sorry, I didn't say that correctly.
I got 3 tickets in one night, in a 4 hour stretch. First was about 6pm. Reckless driving (I was sideways on a gravel road). 1 speeding in between that and 10 'ish. The last was smoking the tires at the Mall (another reckless).
Different day was the 127.
