yeah he never responds to anyone that quotes him - just makes snarky comments to other posters -- bonafide FF clownI ain't gonna comment because I've already engaged him like 3 or 4 times in the last 3-4 days and he hast responded, so I don't want to hear any stalker BS. Check out post #68 in the Feelings about this game thread. Lulz, he serious?
Never have used chicken broth in it.Question for fancy cooking folks here: does this combination of ingredients create a sauce with a name? It seems to be a combination of Bechamel and Veloute, with some Hollandaise for sh!ts and giggles:
1/2 c butter, 1/2 flour
(salt, nutmeg, cayenne)
then 2 c milk, 12 oz chicken broth
2 egg yolks
1/2 c cream
(1/4 c sherry)
It’s obviously rich as all get out, and I think I’d like to try it out with other stuff, but I’d like to see if it appears elsewhere under some name like Cholesterol Surprise Sauce or some such.

It's killer. In multiple ways!Looks dang good!
I want some! It's killer. In multiple ways!
Add in turkey, mushrooms, spaghetti, and cheddar and Parmesan on the top, and it's almost worth taking the roasted turkey straight from the oven and shredding it up, skipping turkey dinner entirely. I figure each batch takes 3-4 days off my life, but while we're eating it, I feel it's worth it.
Use Dream Fields spag. Lowest simple carb I can find. It's killer. In multiple ways!

I know, right? It just seems the product of a drunken French-trained chef throwing together different mother sauces to see what happens. I'd say that the chicken broth is just to give the turkey a fighting chance against the sauce. But then, as if it weren't thick enough already, two egg yolks go in.Never have used chicken broth in it.
My bechamel is just flour nut meg butter and salt and pepper
Go fer it!I want some!
I used to buy that and got out of the habit. (DH pretends to be low-carb, except when he isn't, and I try to behave.) I've gotten pretty tired of just meat/poultry/fish with a green veg on the side, so I'm going to start adding quinoa, brown rice, etc to the meals. I might switch back to Dreamfields for some of the pasta.
It's in reality no lower than any other whole wheat pasta but I have a diabetic friend that swears by it. They had a lawsuit a couple of years back that has greatly cut into their shelf space at the store. We still buy it because it's whole wheat and is really good.I used to buy that and got out of the habit. (DH pretends to be low-carb, except when he isn't, and I try to behave.) Isn't there something about how yes, the carbs are there, but a much lower percentage of them are actually absorbed? I remember reading a lot of woo-woo on their site, making it sound like a Godsend for people who truly have to sweat their carb intake, like your friend. It's in reality no lower than any other whole wheat pasta but I have a diabetic friend that swears by it. That was what the lawsuit was for. It was unproven. I just know it's whole wheat and my buddy swears by it. I love pasta too so I was crushed when I read about the lawsuit. My one and only vice that I can't seem to get away from......good eats. I don't smoke and can do without alcohol but good food.......dang!Isn't there something about how yes, the carbs are there, but a much lower percentage of them are actually absorbed?
