The Culinary Arts Thread

Bird is finally shoved into the oven. Alcohol will be needed in large quantities tomorrow after everyone leaves. I will enjoy my family and especially my grandchildren first, and that will be a highlight, but as one of our former šŸ˜ž residents used to tell me ā€œJenny, I can always tell how tired you are. Your hair becomes more wild as the week goes on, you need to do something about thatā€ šŸ™‚šŸ˜ž.

tl;dr
errythang needs moppin'

so on Tuesday, butcher's twine and a new meat thermometer arrived from Amazon....first time we've ever had the kind of thermometer that stays in the oven with the meat and has a magnet on the back of the console that holds to the outside of the oven....ran 20 bucks or so....did a great job on today's bird and we loaded up everything in the car and all the family was together at my parents' house...I circled the feature of the thermometer that TFG, Sauce, TRM, and Mojo might be able to use as a marital aid :)

I used to know a girl that worked there in the kitchen and I learned/heard alot about their operation. This was 10 years ago so some things could have changed, but almost all of the baked goods were made in house.
