You realize our defense is not very good. We are weak on the line and corner with the injuries we have. State's OL is huge, so we'll see who has the most stamina down the stretch. Having Moi back will help. It may come down to which offense can outscore the other. This game scares me, but hopefully we pull it out. Need to avoid the penalties, turnovers and stupid mistakes in a game like this.
Agree that we are weak at 1 Corner. Hood will be drafted in the top 3 rounds of the draft we are not weak there. Starting DTackle Moi will be back to start this week according to AP on the thurs VQ podcast, but we are still weaker at Dline this season without Hobbs inside and with Josephs not YET anyway playing at a 1st team all SEC level at Edge like Pearce did. That is valid as well.
As for our Oline...they are one of the best in the SEC and country through 4 games. We have allowed 1 Sack in 4 games AND already played UGA which has the most talent of any team we will face all year...as much talent as any team period in the nation. We are averaging 56 points per game which leads the SEC and is 5th nationally IIRC. This 56ppg and 1st in the SEC is WITHOUT running the score up by playing Joey in the 2nd half vs our weak opponents at home. We could have hung 70 or 80 on both of them and easily have tthe #1 offense in FBS, but CJH changed his ways and actually played an entire half in both games with backups to build depth. Our Oline is actually playing so well that our freshman 5* Tackle hasnt played yet because we don't need him. In years past, he would have been rushed back from injury as soon as he was cleared due to need. We havent needed him. He is supposed to get some playing time vs MSU and it will be very interesting to see how much. Perry will move over to Guard and take Sham Umarovs spot when Sanders is at RTackle. Our Oline is quite good. Now when healthy. What remains to be seen is how deep we are and IF we can stay healthy all season. GO VOLS
