Alabama promotes Enos

Can I just say, I wish we had an OC, but I don't think we are drowning . . . Yet.

No one got Freeze as a OC, not even Bama.
Briles would face some character challenges.
Yurcich is pulling a Gundy on UT, if UT is actually interested.

To be honest I had to Google Mike Debord, but he had one heck of an offense. Check those stats before and after he left.

I didn't have to google Kiffin or Bob Shoop and look how they turned out.
Hell, look at how bad Gruden looks this year.

Maybe fans don't know as much as we think.

Maybe we should just wait and see. . .Then complain lol.

It's common practice (actually a rule) when they are moving from one NFL team to the other but there are no limitations on NFL to college. Fine that the guy has to finish his season but why not announce? Whoever it would be isn't leaving a playoff team.
Assuming it’s an OC from a playoff team.

Could be a position coach from a playoff team. Could be in his contract he can’t “officially” take a new job while still on the payroll. I don’t know.

I know that in years past when TN has been looking at an NFL coach it’s always a wait until the end of the season.

So, Helton tells Pruitt he's leaving. Pruitt decides he's going with Friend, although Friend says he doesn't want it. Instead of announcing it right after Helton leaves and getting on with business, Pruitt decides the fans are gonna freak out, so he let's it fester for three weeks and then announced it thinking we will all be so happy just to have someone that we'll be happy and excited.

That right?

See if this one makes sense. Pruitt has wanted to promote Friend from the beginning. He goes to Fulmer and let’s him know. We all remember the report where Fulmer was so upset with the O-line that he went to a practice to give some pointers. That incident shows that Fulmer doesn’t think Friend is doing a good job. Fast forward to the Pruitt Fulmer meeting. Fulmer says he doesn’t want to get in Pruitt’s way but to make him happy he needs to at least interview some outside candidates, hoping that one will blow Pruitt away. Pruitt agrees but doesn’t really put that much effort into it (reports of him out recruiting early in the search process) b/c he has his mind set on promoting Friend. When a top candidate like Briles comes along Pruitt throws up a road block to make sure he doesn’t accept the position.

All we did was exchange a used car salesman for a good ole boy. Both care more about hooking their friends up and doing things “their way” than they do about restoring UT to greatness

It sounds like you put some thought into it. But I ain't buying it. When it happens you can laugh and say I told ya so, until then I say no way.
