Does he play or not?

Wrong Place, Wrong Time?

Does $ankey step in and say it was just a misunderstanding?

I bet it turns out to be someone else’s weed.

My guess is Alabama will not announce a suspension and try to beat Hofstra without having to play him. But if they realize they’re in for a fight, they’ll bring him in.

If they don’t have to bring him in, they’ll retroactively announce that he was suspended against them.

Probably a one game suspension, announced after the game. Or maybe just doesn’t get to start? (Blue font)

Looks like he was dismissed from the team.

Reminds me of Lynn McGruder back in the Fulmer years. Caught in his dorm room with a whole lot of pot and a scale and baggies for distribution. Fulmer kicked him off the team and he transferred to Oklahoma and I believe had a decent career there. Hopefully Holloway can get his act together and earn a second chance elsewhere but these stories rarely have a happy ending.

Per article…
Police said Holloway will be charged with first-degree possession of marijuana-not for personal use, which is a Class C felony, and failure to affix a tax stamp, also a felony.

If only he had affixed a tax stamp, he might have been OK.
This is ridiculous. Dude has a pound of pot in his apartment and is obviously dealing and they are hung up over a tax stamp.

Watch for one of the walk ons to get suspended.

Uncle Sam has gotta get his.

This is actually a really clever law that I'm shocked has never been overturned. It allows the State to collect income on the sale of items that are otherwise illegal. And if a dealer actually buys the stamps, the State cannot ask what it's for or use it as evidence against him.

I was going to say, the ONE unbreakable law in the US is to pay the taxman.

It's not like he carried the murder weapon to the scene of a shooting of an innocent bystander. Oh wait, nevermind.

Some Tuscaloosa PD rookie didn't review the department's manual and will be looking for a new job shortly.
Nah, someone did their job.

"Holloway was found with 2.1 pounds of marijuana and in Alabama, anything above 2.2 pounds carries a drug-trafficking charge"

That is A LOT of weed

Read the article, Oats quoted as stating we always hold our players accountable. Miller came to mind.
