Alabama bans abortion, pending Gov signature

Even in cases of rape or incest. Seems designed to force the Roe issue with the new Court.

Aside from the political debate, I recommend you read some of the highlights of the floor debate. Apparently one can still get an abortion as long as she doesn't know she's pregnant, which is mind numbingly incoherent.

And the answer? Because it takes 7 to 10 days for the woman to know she's pregnant as that is how long it takes for "all those chromosomes and all that."

Glad such smart people have thought this through.

The abysmal discussion on the floor is distressing. You guys talk about people having to have a job, pay taxes, etc, to vote. I'm thinking of offering you a trade: you can have that requirement to vote if there can be a requirement that office holders not be so stupid as to refer to initial gestation as "chromosomes and all that."

Don't get me wrong, I'm very conflicted on the issue. I think most people are.

I just think decision makers ought to think at a higher level than the fourth grade.

I am totally ok with that if you will just be honest and admit that abortion was legalized by the Democrats on the Supreme Court as a way to offset the no longer standing Jim Crowe laws so your racist party could keep killing the African American party off and make sure your power held strong.

Let’s not even debate the fact your party started the KKK. let’s just use RBG own words when she went ON RECORD and admitted she passed Rowe vs wade to keep the unwanted minority population down.

So of course u want abortion to continue under the guise of woman’s rights as you slaughter millions of black babies.

There are plenty of "coherent" arguments to ban abortion that has nothing to do with religion or misinterpreted science.

In fact, the science of when a human becomes a human can be up for debate and I think that's where we resolve this issue. These laws dont happen unless States like NY pass a law allowing someone to kill a failed abortion well into third trimester.

So perhaps without the extreme initial policy, an extreme response policy doesnt come up.

Furthermore, can Democrats and the left quit acting like rape and incest matters? They are for abortions based on whims and convenience. Rape or abortion isnt the qualifier so quit pretending to be morally concerned about the mothers situation.
