'21 AL WDE Dylan Brooks (Auburn transfer)

I have a good feeling about Brooks. I have no idea how CSF is as a recruiter, but Ansley is the primary. If CSF got on him the way Brumbaugh did with Paige, and Graham did with Cody Brown, then we may have a good shot.

Brooks, a junior at Handley High School in Roanoke, Ala., is a five-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, where he's ranked the No. 19 overall prospect and No. 1 weakside defensive end in the 2021 class. He has been a frequent visitor to a few schools, including Tennessee, and he was back in Knoxville last month for at least the eighth time since the Vols extended an offer to him in February 2019. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Brooks attended three of Tennessee's home games during the 2019 season, including the Vols' regular-season finale Nov. 30 against Vanderbilt. Auburn, LSU and Alabama are believed to be Tennessee's main competition for him. All three predictions on the 247Sports Crystal Ball point to Auburn as the team to beat.

Dylan Brooks
DE/OLB; Roanoke, Ala.

Brooks visited Tennessee for its junior day on March 7 just before the shutdown. He’s considered an Auburn lean but also visited Tennessee for another junior day back in January. He grew up in a family of Auburn fans who would like to see him stay closer to home, but it’s worth noting where he spent the final weekend of the season.

It wasn’t at the Iron Bowl. He visited Knoxville to see Tennessee play Vanderbilt for the first of his three visits in the five months before the sports shutdown. He also attended two more Tennessee games in 2019 and has made eight visits to campus since being offered in early 2019.

The five-star Alabama linebacker is the best prospect in his home state and a borderline top-25 national recruit.

Chad Simmons future cast on rivals to Tennessee

Also, Niebuhr just wrote on the Auburn board he’s trending Vols but for whatever reason didn’t put in a Tennessee CB lol

DE Dylan Brooks, Roanoke (Ala.) Handley: The battle for this 5-star recruit is intense with four programs heavily involved: Auburn, Alabama, LSU and Tennessee. At the moment, our intel suggests there are two to watch from that group — Auburn and the Vols. In fact, Tennessee seems to be trending. Do not sell the Vols short here. He has visited that school a bunch, is really close with the staff and they are selling early playing time hard.
