“I went on a visit to Tennessee back in January when coach [Tracy] Rocker was still there. He left and went to South Carolina and offered me there,” Smith reflected. “After getting to know coach [Jimmy] Brumbaugh, Tennessee offered shortly after.”

“They like my size and my ability. They also like how quick I am for my size,” the 6-foot-5, 260-pounder said of the Vols. “Coach Brumbaugh and I have a good relationship. He is a cool coach.”

“The coronavirus recruitment in-person shut down has actually made things go a lot smoother for me,” Smith admitted. “When I first started getting recruited heavily, it was difficult traveling everywhere to see a bunch of different schools. That’s all eased down a little bit.”

“I just want to go somewhere that I feel comfortable,” Smith said. “I could definitely see myself playing at Tennessee because the coaching staff is amazing, and the facilities are great. The school all-around is amazing.”

Looks like Ole Miss. A lot of these top 5 lists that include us does not mean they are a take and the recruit knows that. We offer so many recruits and they throw in TN because it makes the list look more competitive.
