7.22.25: “You are talking about a baller,” [Mae Jamison coach Rico] White said at Huntsville High School Media Day on Monday. “He’s a great player, a great kid, a leader. I always challenge him to play like a 4 or 5 star, carry yourself like it, practice like it, and he does it. He will be a successful kid.”

...“He’s a student of the game,” he said. “He stays awake while everyone else is asleep. He is always studying the game. He dominates practice the same way he does in a game. He’s just that guy.”

White says Harris’ potential is unlimited once he gets into the SEC. “He has self-motivation, but I can only imagine when he gets to college and is around kids with the same mindset and drive,” he said. “He can dominate on defense. When things are not going right at our place, he gets mad. He pushes everyone. He is going to be special.”

Harris finished the season last year (10 games) with 76 tackles, 20 TFL and 14 sacks.

I think you have overlooked his freakish strength. For a tall guy, his arm length and his ability to throw guys around and use his leverage to get into guys chest with bad technique sometimes shows how freakish his strength is. He shows ridiculous power and a strong base for a 6'5 230 lb guy. I can see him adding another 25 lbs easy and not losing any of his agility and quickness.

He is not a James Pearce Jr \ Josephs kind of LEO, he is more of a Dylan Stewart type of DE, he is just a bit raw compared to Stewart out of HS. He stands up a lot and does not get low in his rush stance, yet he still just throws guys around and bull rushes right through them. Once he learns better technique and develops a swim move and maybe a spin move or one of the counters, this guy could be a monster.

Garner knows more about Dline than I ever will.

So if he wants him then he sees something that I don’t.

No I didn’t miss how long he is. He just looks…limited to me. With his length he can still disrupt the passing game though, even if he can’t get home.
