'26 AL DL Tyson Bacon

I mean this was expected. Tennessee isn't out of it like with Brandon Anderson. Bacon committed very early and stuck it out during college spring practice. But he's got legit interest from everyone in the country now and it all came in a flash. Understand him wanting to step back and reevaluate his options. He's got official visits next on the schedule

I am quickly losing interest in HS recruiting…and it’s always been a passion of mine…as much of a draw to this website for me as anything…these days it feels like we just pay the elite ones too much money only to watch them bounce to another school after we’ve spent substantial time and resources developing them for 1-2 years…screw that man…if the current “model” stays the same I say we should mostly play moneyball in the HS ranks and swing for the fences in the portal

I’m quickly losing interest in every aspect of college football. It’s being ruined at warp speed for many of us. I didn’t even blink at this decommitment. Didn’t blink at what happened with Nico. Maybe it’s because Heup has earned the trust that he will find a way to field a competitive team and win games. However, a lot of it is I’m getting where I just don’t care anymore.

done had some of the best defensive line play in the country past few years, and dude wants out after we gave him a chance first out of everybody lol
Can there be any other reason beyond his increased attention has him wanting to explore other NIL$? Can’t really blame a recruit for being interested in maximizing his earnings I guess. New world of college sports

Is Anderson not an option for sure? He’s coming for an OV, no?

Was surprised he even committed here. Hoover kids tend to stay in state outside of Chad Jackson and George Pickens. There's probably more, but more times than not they stay in state.
Yeah you just can’t trust these Alabama kids not to flip the instant Bama and/or Auburn start showing interest. Tbh I’d be fine with it if we just stopped recruiting that state altogether.

You're absolutely right. Unless you find ones that are just determined to leave the state, you can't trust them. Really surprised we got Gibson out of Trussville. It was easier for Fulmer, Ala stayed on probation for close to 2 decades and AU had their issues too.

Following college football roster management is completely irrelevant right now. Before it was just high schoolers that could commit and decommit on a whim. Now current players can come and go on a whim or hold out for more money. Why should I care who is on the roster in January? April? August? Why should I care who we have committed in March? June? October?

Just wake me up on the 13 game days each year and tell me who is on the team and I’ll cheer for those guys.

Glad we got Jordan Ross first. He’s gonna be our next superstar 🤞

I literally called on Nico Friday to AD to stop all donations and got a VM. Got a call back Monday and since they booted his tail, I continued. Not sure how I will feel when in Neyland this fall, but it’s getting harder to deal with this junk and talent fees and raising the prices after a big win. I hate it.
