Yes we didn't want to fool with preparing for triple option during season before a big rivalry game. However the other massive concern was the academy schools style of play. I ask you folks. Knowing what we got with Akron and their chippy play that has riddled us with injuries. Do we have sellers remorse dumping Army for Akron? I do personally I would have rather seen what Army had to offer instead of Akron and I don't think the injury situation would be any worse.

I have seller's remorse, but the reason why may be disappointing for you. Here it is all the same.

Akron was a good prep opponent for UF. Would have been better if their QB was healthy and could run but still UT prepared for the same kind of QB.

You gain pretty much nothing playing the service academies and risk a lot.

Option teams routinely cut defender's knees out as a strategy (remember GA Tech a couple years back?). Could have been a lot worse had we played Army
