I read that Ainge was to have surgery on his knee, what is the prognosis for recovery as far as time frame and extent of success of the surgery? What a tough break for Erik. I pray for his complete recovery.

I have heard that if they just remove the damaged meniscus (sp?) it will only be a few weeks to recover, but if they have to repair it he could miss the first part of the season.

Ainge will not miss any of the season, no matter what kind of surgery they do. If they repair it, he'll be out for about 2 months, so he would come back around June and begin work again. If they remove the whole meniscus, then he'll be out about 4-6 weeks. Either way, he's not going to miss any of the season at all.

I hope for a full recovery for Ainge. What would you guys do? Go for the quick fix and risk losing mobility or Go for the full repair and lose practice time with new WR's.

Eric Berry could be an interesting idea for QB at times. Tebow worked at Florida, it could work for us.

You're scaring me.

History doesn't favor us mixing it up at the QB position, and Tebow is a glorified fullback anyway so was great in those short yardage situations where he was used.

Having said that, I think Crompton getting all the reps he can and getting the recievers ready to hand back over to Ainge come Fall is the best bet.

There was mention of this by Cut prior to the spring practice but I have heard nothing since. With closed practice no one will know until we start playing the games.

I believe that is correct.

They were supposed to discuss it last Thursday, no official word yet on which they decided?

There is no way Cromp is as efficient at running the offense as Ainge, so it's probably going to hurt the recievers because they wont be able to run the system with Ainge untill after spring practice is over.
